Coming Clean...

Oh dear indeedily!  All that talk yesterday of cracking on with the Room of Stash and actually I spent the sum total of about 20 minutes moving things about and then got fazed and decided that a whole day was needed... so I put it off til today.  I am only showing you because I will then have to show you just how much cleaning has been done... and that is an incentive to do it.  My wish for today is that I get the Room of Stash done... without getting sidetracked or bored or both!   Also, it is Wednesday and up until last year, I used to regularly join in with the weekly event that is WOYWW- which is short for What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday.  If you haven't heard about this do click HERE to be transported over the Julia's blog where she will tell you all about how to join in and also you can see lots of other messy desks and workspaces too.

Now that there pic is showing the corner of the Room of Stash (well, one of the corners - it is a room so it does have 4 lol)  Piled up stuff that needs sorting after telly shows and classes.... there's no excuse for my slatternly behaviour any longer so that will be attacked first.   And this here pic shows my desks.  O.H. D.E.A.R! ! ! ! !  What can I say eh?  Nothing that will make it any better, that's for sure!  

Anyways, instead of stopping here and waffling for another half hour, I am taking the bull by the horns, facing my demons, erm, face on... and am away to get cleaning!!!  I am, well, just after I have checked my emails and Facebook and played SongPop.... hahhaaa, no, really, I am off to tidy... right now!   Thanks for looking... hope you aren't too shocked by those photo's... if you are, may I suggest a hot cuppa and a piece of cake as a remedy?   TTFN

WOYWW... Grey...

...and miserable... again! Oh yes, I am on about the weather again... I sit here wishing it was a nice and warm and sunny and blue skied Wednesday. But it ain't. So, what better excuse to hunker down in the Room of Stash eh? Today, being Wednesday, means it is time for the crafty bloggers of the world to unite in the marathon hop that is What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday. Today my desk is mostly featuring those new Seasonal Distress Inks and the little taggy offering I was playing on last night. I mixed Shaded Lilac, Chipped Sapphire and Seedless Preserves on the tag and oooh, it is a stunning combo. The Shaded Lilac is one of those colours that if you put it with blue, it goes bluebell coloured but if you put it with purple, it goes lilac colour. Stunning! Also on the desk of mess are some class samples (just the corner of one in shot though... ) in preparation for my classes this weekend at Birds In The Barn in Essex. As much as I love to sit and waffle on alarmingly I must away... I have things to stamp, kits to assemble and a pair of hands that are all cakky with ink and nails that are probably best left undescribed as they are really scuzzy... now, where did I put that Craft Scrubbie? WOYWW... A Winner!

...Cor blimey and thrice alive it is that day of the week again... already! Oh yesh, it is Wednesday, time for the amazing hop that is What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday. So... this week I am polishing my halo! Oh yesh, that is cos I spent a couple of hours last night cleaning up and tidying away and banishing junk to the bin so the Room of Stash is looking totes-amazeballs tidy! On my desk is my trunk of Art Parts... I know, I know, there's a lot of Art Parts in that there trunk but... I have been collecting them for a while and erm... I am kind of addicted and... erm... well, there's no excuse really... apart from the fact that I love 'em! I am going to make a couple of samples ready for my Demo Day on Saturday at Let's Create in Lincolnshire... I am really looking forward to that... if you are in the area it would be fabbydabby to meet you! Remember that chunk of wood from last week? You know, the one that I was altering to make something pretty? Well, I am no further forward with it but I did make a couple of metal roses and then decided that they didn't suit the piece... back to the drawing board on that one lol


Right, I must away to my bed... I have a date with the pointy doo-dah's again in the morning... although I have come to the conclusion that acupuncture doesn't work for me :O( Still, it was worth a try... Have a goodly day... thanks for looking.. TTFN!

WOYWW & Giveaway....

... Wednesday! Already! How can it be huh? One minute it is Sunday and then the next it is Wednesday which means that it is time, once again, for the hop of the week to commence... namely, What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday... hosted and devised by the inimitable Julia... hop on over HERE to see what this is all about. So... this past week has seen me return to my slatternly ways... yes folks, the halo has well and truly slipped and the Room of Stash is once more the Room of Trash... I blame the sample making frenzy last week... but the truth is, I just haven't had the will to start... cleaning! I haven't even emptied my bin (not to mention the jar of mucky water... tsk tsk)



Featuring on my desk is... a chunk of wood that Grim had cut up the other day to test his power-sawthingymajig... and when I spotted said pieces of wood I said I needed them... Grim looked at me as if I had lost the plot (he does that quite often though so nowt new there eh?) When I explained about painting and altering he sort of got what I meant so he kindly screwed the two pieces together to make a shape... which is mid way thru the transformation... ok, I have painted it with Traditional Tan paint and then started playing with metal and flowers so ... erm... I haven't got much further.


Right.. I best go, I have more acupuncture later and... ouch, I have been in agony this past few days... not sure if it is over-doing it at the weekend or a reaction to the long-pointy-sharp-things (am not going to say needles again.... whoops!) Thanks for looking... have a goodly day! TTFN

WOYWW... Pink???

...indeedily! Tis Wednesday, which means that it is the day for the desk-hoppers of the World to unite in the phenomenonywotsit that is What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday. There's two pics to show today... the first one is a close up of my desk... midway through an Art Parts project and a Grungepaper rose... The second one is more of my Room of Stash when I am in full "Studio 490" making fun... stamps, Art Parts and Grunge all over the place... and if I stub my toe on that folder of stamps one more time I shall spit lol (thing is, I have done it several times and still I do it... )


So... Pink! Oh yesh, I have gone pink! Well, not me personally but... I have embraced my lurve of all things pink again! Now, a little known fact - ok, you all know it but - I used to be obsessed with pink; pink phone, pink camera, pink suede boots (still have 'em, still lurve 'em), pink in my hair... I even named my blog addy after the word pink. So, then I went off it. (thank heavens it was a few months before I got Ferdy otherwise he would have been pink too) But, I am in the mood for something soft and vintagey so... out came the Victorian Velvet and off I went, bonkers stylee on some Art Parts and Grungepaper.


That's what is going on on my desk right now... Art Parts, Studio 490 stamps and Grunge... oh and those fingernails I mentioned earlier? Scuzzy again... in fact, the project before this one was using Rusty Hinge... I look like I have been on the Capstan Full Strength... thank the lordy above for the Ranger Craft Scrubbie because... I have a date later... and I shall be feeling a prick! Oh yesh, it is time for my Acupuncture (whatever else did you think I meant, huh?) I have been waiting a yonk and a half for this appointment... then I have another three after this one over the next month... here's hoping it will get rid of this nasty pain. Right... I shall away to complete my grungy pink project and then to bed... Have a fab Wednesday... and as ever, thank you for looking... TTFN!

...nothing much!! Hahaaaa, again, it is Wednesday and yep, I remembered it was Wednesday which means that I can take part in the phenomenononywotsit that is.... So... this WOYWW (as the acronym is easier than keeping on typing What's on Your Workdesk Wednesday, although I just did again so....) Where was I? Ah yes, Wednesday's are the day for WOYWW. Right... enough waffling... that there is a piccie of my desk... and I have to say, a little update after the mammoth 2 day clearing out fest that was the event in the Room of Stash for January... my desks are still *relatively* tidy... as is the floor (i even hoovered the other day!) and I am loving having both desks right next to each other because I can spread out... well, not me personally, my stash can be spread out and I don't need to chuck stuff on the floor anymore... *ah, am polishing my halo* So, this week on my desk is... some Tulle! Oh yesh, I have finally sourced some cheap Tulle (thank you Mr eBay) which I fully intend to faff with later. Also is a WIP - an ATC with a cute little holder that is a Cut & Create template from March Craft Stamper... that is going to be finished today btw... no more procrastinations... I am going to sit and get it done...

We had a smashing day at Brands Hatch on Sunday, watching Jason Plato storm to victory in his new MG (corrrrrr) but, it was ever so sunny... and guess who forgot to put any sun cream in her bag? And guess who is now sporting something that she usually takes great pains to avoid? Oh yes, I have... a freckle moustache. I am a freckly person... always have been, in fact a childhood nickname was freckleface... and I have freckles on my top lip... which, if left unattended in the sunshine, gang up together and turn themselves into a moustache... which is what I have now... WOYWW... Kitting Up...

...tis Wednesday! Already! And... being as last Wednesday completely passed me by and it was nearly Thursday by the time I realised, I missed out on the What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday hoppity-skippity marathon... so, there's no catching me out this time.. oh no, I know what day it is (for a change lol) Anyways... I is a-waffling again, so I shall point you in the direction of Julia, esteemed leader of the Desk Inspectors... and all the deets are HERE on how to enter the hop.


So, this week sees a very lot of card and paper on my desk... namely kitting for my classes at Dawn Bibby's Design Studio on Saturday and Sunday... I am really looking forward to them... tis my first time doing classes up North and whilst it is the other side of the Pennine's to my childhood stomping ground, it will be good to get back up North again. Oh and there's a sneaky look at one of the classes, the sample is right there on the desk ;o)) Also, check out this little lot... I was certainly smiling very biggly when Postie arrived yesterday morning... I have to say, I am totally in lurve with those little Keys... one of them looks a bit like ET and one of them looks a bit like a Master Key for a train... The Tap Knobs are really good quality... I know, they are really called Faucet Knobs but... I can't say that word without it sounding like I am pretending to put on an American accent... and then I end up sounding like Loyd Grossman lol



I had better go and get kitting again... thank heavens for Victor Vagabond, he has been very busy working hard and has made light work of all that die-cutting.... Have a good day y'all... (sorry, went all Loyd Grossman again lol) TTFN

WOYWW... Pressies...

... Cor blimey, Wednesday already and I am the first to admit that this past week has passed by ever so quickly and, again, I have got absolutely nothing creative to show you. It has been one of those horrible weeks so I do apologise for not being able to visit many of the wonderful peeps that join in the phenomenon that is What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday... which, BTW, if you haven't happened across before, it a mahooosive desk hop around the crafty bloggers of the world and is hosted by Julia... for all the deets and info etc, CLICK HERE and you will be whizzed off on the back of a big umbrella (yep...raining outside) to her blog.



So... my desk this week. Nothing creative apart from my unfinished workshop canvas from Sunday's class *more of that tomorrow though*. But... lots of goodies to spy... starting with a rubber pressie from lovely Caz, a set of Studio 490 stamps that I had been oggling for yonks... bless her, what a kind friend she is (more about that tomorrow too). Also featuring is a gorgeous set of Basic Grey papers and some tissue flowers to match from Ellen... all the way from America (along with the requisite Cheesy Chester Cheeto's, ooh and some delish Bath & Body Works smellies and Dove choccy for Grim) Check out that little baggie with the green looking things in.... those are some little lampposts (they are for model railways I think) which will be perfect for altering... cuteness or what! And then you will see a Trinket Case, which is a gift from Wendy... I have been longing for one of these for about 382 years... I haven't filled it up yet... am too busy stroking it! So... a big and very heartfelt thank you to my lovely friends who really know how to pick me up and make me smile big. You know what? I am so lucky and I really do appreciate that a blinking good friend is someone to hold onto and cherish... to me, my friends are my family (I shall stop now before I start blubbing lol)


You may have spied something else rubbery sitting there on the desk... still uninked too! AlfieCat is ever such a clever little fella and he sent me off on Sunday morning with a strict instruction to get some of the new Tim stamps from him, for me, for Mother's Day. Now, I know it isn't til March 18th (UK) but he is such an understanding little furbaby, he knew I would have to have them straight away.... clever puddytat eh? Oh and... there's another set of Tim stamps that fell into my basket... well, they are the ones with the train on... I couldn't not get those now could I? I have a little project in mind for them that I am hoping to be able to crack on with later today... Actually, I did stand there with all of the new sets in my inkymits and found it really hard to chose... so I went for the words (from Alf) and the train (from me lol) but still have the others on my wishlist (especially those diddy ones, I love the diddy ones... oh and the hot air balloon one... need that one too!)

W(not)OYWW... A Winner & A Recipe...

...blinking blimey and thrice... Wednesday is here upon us again and it is time for us to show off our desks for the mammoth bloghop that is What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday. Sadly, this next pic may be disturbing for some WOYWW-ers's... because this is my poor, neglected desk right this minute... with a gluestick and a paint dabber... and that's all... *awwww* I have been busy and haven't had chance to mucky my desk up in time for the hop so... I have a recipe to share instead! To see all the deets about the WOYWW phenomenon, hop over to Julia's place.. .she is the esteemed leader of the hoppers and organises it all with much flourish and aplomb.



So... me and Ellen are Skyping on Sunday and we realise we haven't done an I Challenge Thee for yonks. Between us we concoct a recipe and, then, have to stick to it rigidly and make something using only the ingredients and technique we have decided on. Mmmm, it is a challenge... but it sure does get the old creativity going and it certainly makes me look at products in a slightly different way to see what else I can get them to do. So the recipe this weekend was to make a large tag, the technique was Multi Medium Resist, the ingredients were Fresco Paints, Colorwash Sprays, Metal on Card, PaperArtsy Hotpicks and some Industrial Chic embellies.


So.. off we set, Ellen was sitting next to me in the laptop BTW... tis cool that I can craft with my BFF who is over 3500 miles away and it is like she is right next to me (and it is free!!!) Anyways... off we set (said that already) and got our tag making underway... and everything was going perfectly fine until I decided to "edge" the tag with black Archival... and dropped the inkpad onto the tag... the tag that I had just spent an age making look pretty... mmm, there's some very careful placing of decorations on this tag... and because of the incident (ok, my clumsiness) I had to cheat (snort) and added some Idea-ology Trimmings to the tag too. Anyways... all of the deets on how I made the tag and what I used etc are HERE on The Stamp Attic blog... please do pop over to see the bigger pics... this one here makes it look very plain! Right... a Winner... for the 490 Spool giveaway from last week... so, I had a whopping 97 comments left (THANK YOU EVERYONE!!!) and Mr Random.org chose #67 as the winner which tallies with the comment left by PAT. Please can you email me your addy Pat and I will pop the Spool into the post for you :O) I had better get a wiggle on... Grim and I have to go on an expedition into the Spinney... AlfieCat has come back sans collar again... and even though we have sent him back out to find it, he hasn't... this is about the 8th time he has lost a collar and all the times before he has gone and found it and brought it home with him... seriously, that is the Gods honest... I say "Alf, go and get your collar" and off he trots and usually comes home with it in his chops. This time he is just looking at me as if to say "me? out there? in the mud? I don't think so... WOYWW... Candy Time...

...ok, so... especially for Sue... Holy Moly and thrice... and... cor blimey indeedily! This last week has fair whipped itself past again and here we are, back at Wednesday and time for the desk hoppers of the Bloggy World to unite in the marathon hop that is What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday... hosted by the inimitable Julia, click HERE for all the deets on how to join in.


So. My desk. Well, my actual real desk is devoid of any kind of craftyness... it is clean, tidy, mess free and looking very very boring... but... I have got yesterday's desk to show you instead. Day three at the Stitches trade show and this is my desk just after 9am... neat and tidy and full of inky and stampy goodies. And my samples, across the front... and my Grid Blocks *ones I actually bought for me*... of which, someone decided to relieve me of. Well, one Spool sample and 4 Grid Blocks to be precise. I am NOT happy and, in a way, I am hoping that whomever decided that their need was greater than mine is reading this post and feels totally and utterly ashamed of themselves. We are crafters. We all love stash. And, up til yesterday morning, I thought that we all respected each others stash... it seems, however, that there is, in any walk of life, someone who has no scruples.



Moving on... on a much happier note... check out this display!!! All the gorgeous brand new Studio 490 stamps, Art Parts and Blossom Bucket embellishments... and... real, proper, genuine (and GORGEOUS) artwork by Wendy Vecchi... seriously, that art... lushness... sooo many little details and elements, I could have gazed at it for days (well, I did, when no one was looking lol)




Last week I didn't get chance to get around to very many peeps' blogs... so ... here's a little candy giveaway to one person who leaves me a comment on this post... my way of a thank you (and a sorry) During the show I have been making little bits and bobs using the gorgeous Studio 490 range and Ranger products... demo-ing on Art Parts, Grunge, Distress, Idea-ology... all kinds of loverliness. WOYWW.... Getting Carried Away!

...cor blimey, I know, I am boring and predictable but... is it really Wednesday already? Really? This last week has fair whizzed past hasn't it?! Well, it is Wednesday which means that it is time for all Crafty Bloggy Buddies of the Blogasphere to unite in the wonderful event that is What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday... devised and hosted by the fair and lovely Julia, click HERE to see all the deets and info and stuff... BTW, did you know... it is now 141 weeks old... which is erm... about... nearly three years... and yet it seems like only yesterday when it all started! Cor!!!



Anyways... regular hoppers will be aware that I turned over a new leaf last month and spouted off about being uber organised, neat, tidy etc... and... I am happy to say... I am keeping it up... really, none of the pics have been digically altered, no photowotsiting or anything like that.. I know there are doubters amongst you (Minxy) who said they didn't quite believe that I could walk on the floor, let alone see it...well, this proves that... you can! See, carpet! And tidy carpet at that!


On my desk there's a nearly finished canvas, I am just colouring some images ready to stick on... and then there's my class notes and a pile of tags to be turned into a sample... and then there's a horror of a canvas that really is not my colour scheme at all... akkk!!! Needs toning down!



And then there's the "corner" of the room with the Wall of Art feature... and can you see it? Can you? There it is, in front of Victor Vagabond... oh yesh, a signed copy of the latest book from the Wonderful Wendy Vecchi... Wendy Stamp Attic brought it back from CHA for me and I am one happy bunny... thank you both Wendy's for gifting this to me!!!






And... more news... a few weeks ago Kirsty Wiseman asked me if I would like to join in with a brand new Design Team for Fantastic Ribbons... well, how could I say no eh? Being as I love all things ribbony. So, February is the start of a brand new blog and challenge... the theme this month is to make Accessories... and erm... this is where I got carried away! The first thing I made was a bracelet... with pink and green ribbons tied on the links and buttons dangling from jump rings... and then I made a little pouchy bag for it and added a big old wired ribbon bow and some inked lace to it... and then because I was in bright and ribbony mode, I made a little brooch/medal thingy... using a blank pendant, filling it up with buttons and then adding some bright stripey Grosgrain as a bow...

And then... because that wasn't enough I altered an Optical Lens... and added a little smidge of white organza ribbon as the necklace bit.

This week the Room of Stash is still tidy, neat, clean, fluff free, cobweb free, nay and thrice, even snippetty-bits-of-paper-on-the-carpet free... indeedily, the Reformation of the Sheridan is complete, I am a reformed character and never again will I allow my precious little room to become the pit that it was. *well, I say that now but... erm... anything could happen...like... you know... erm... AlfieCat misbehaving again*


On my desk today is a WIP... a snapshot of an Art Parts piece that is in the "just about to colour and assemble and faff with embellies" stage. You know I did those classes last year with the one and only Wendy Vecchi at The Queen's Ink in Maryland with Ellen (whom, I have the pleasure of tellling you is now on the Dyan Reaveley Design Team (pop over here to leave her some love... I am sooo proud of her)) Well... we made a gorrrrgeous piece of stand alone art with Wendy and I am now playing and using some of the inspirations that I got then... erm... now. *if that makes sense, which it probably doesn't because it is late and I am even confooosing myself... and I really must go now because, after all, I am speed blogging....*

This week my desk, indeed my Room of Stash, are still in pretty neat condition... (garnished, of course, obligatory choccy bar to keep my strength up... ahem... Fruit & Nut *says it all really* ) Ok it is a smidgey little bit messy but that is because I am full steam ahead with the samples for tomorrow's shows. I have got the cards/tags done and am playing with Art Parts now. I have been having fun with Clearly For Art too... for all you arachnaphobes, look away now...



There, you can look again now! He is the cutest ickle spidey... and he is dangling off a Spool. And here's another peek of some Art Part pieces I have put together.... oh and the shows are at 11am and 4pm (Sky Channel 671, Freeview 36, Freesat 813 and on the website at www.createandcraft.tv)




And now... time for me to get back to the big old flower that is half done on my desk... A short post from me today... I know (positively unheard of...) WOYWW... And The Winner Is...

...ok, who did it? I know it was someone... fast-forwarding a whole week! I say this every Wednesday I know but still... this time next week we will be in February already! Anyways... So... my Room of Stash remaind pristine = yes a whole week later and it is still spotless... I am still tidying away after each crafty make... and picking up bits off the floor... and cleaning my desks... ooh-hooohoo... I am a reformed character! **and will have to be careful, I may choke on this Halo lol** On my desk today is the finishing touches for a little folder book thingy I have made using those deeevine new 7 Dots Studio papers and some delish Stampotique stamps for The Stamp Attic... all the deets of how I made it etc are HERE on the Stamp Attic blog!

Actually, I will let you into a little secret - when I was at school (that be only a few years ago...ahem) I lurved English the mostest... I was one of those saddo swots that could recite Shakespeare and quote Mr Dickens. As well as my love for literature, I also adored the written side of it... and invariably would spend a happy few hours making up little stories and such like. My English teachers, Mrs Johnson and Mr Deith (poor bloke, we called him Dr Death and he was the nicest chap....) Where was I? Ah yes, my teachers... loved the red pen, the pair of them... loved using it... especially to write "so much punctuation is not necessary!" See how they used one for themselves though. So, when I write on here I have my own little part of the cyberworld to do as much punctuating as I like.... hence... !!!!!!!! at the beginning of the post.




Right... enough of the waffling... check out how utterly revolting that mess in that there piccie is... that is what the Room of Trash looked like on Monday evening. Stuff piled up all over my desk... all over the floor... all over the other desk... nightmare! So, being as I have set myself that New Year Resolution to be uber tidy and organised, I thought I had better get my btm in gear and get sorting.



This is a view of everything pushed back towards the back of the room... yep, piled up with crud and goodness knows what. Here's a bit of a confession... remember when we moved (nearly two years ago) I was on about the mass clearance thingy. Well, I had those "not sure if I need this bit of crud" things... which all went into boxes.. and were unpacked... and they were still "not sure if I need this bit of crud" items... so they were shoved into every available crevice and nook... ahem... last night they all went into the bin bag... or should I say... bags. All four of them at the moment... I have still got the other half of the room to do... so that is going to be more than 4 bags!



That there piccie above is the giveaway for this week. It is a little notebook made with Studio 490 Art Parts, coloured with Distress Stains, overstamped with Studio 490 stamps... and little Grunge flowers for decoration and held together with Idea-ology D Rings. And look at the dust-free shelves (ok, ok, I fibbed about them being dust-free... they aren't ... at the moment... but they will be... in a mo... ok, later on... alright, alright, maybe next week lol) I have moved desk 2 so it is right next to desk 1... more space to spread out and I have no idea why I didn't put them like this when I moved in here... makes sense to have more space to spread right?


Well, that's more than enough of my wafflings for one day... best get my bum wiggling and get the rest of the tidying and clearing done.. I have to de-junk the paper stack now... mmmm, I may some time! Thanks for looking... TTFN!

WOYWW... An Unholy Mess...

...dear oh dear oh dear oh dear oh. I started off 2011 full of promises to keep the Room of Stash tidy... and I did make it almost through a whole year with it looking relatively clean and tidy and neat. And then disahhster struck... namely a very severe infestation of the worst critters known to man... yes, Messy Fairies. I am hunting high and low for a better excuse so indulge me do lol Anyways, the reason I am waffling on about my desk is because it is Wednesday which means it is time for us bloggers of the craft world to unite in a marathon blog hop... pop across to our esteemed leader, Julia's blog, to see all the deets...




Anyways... mid way through the marathon sample making bonanza and this is the state of my room... I know, it is disgraceful... but I can explain how it happened; ok, so, Christmas was upon us and I had...erm... neglected to make cards... so I grabbed loads of Xmas stash and set about making 50 odd in one weekend... which went really well, except... ahhh, ermmm... I then had to move very quickly onto catching up with the 12 Tags of Christmas... and then Mojo naffed orf and the Room of Stash was out of bounds... and then... well, I am out of excuses... the truth is, I am a messy moobag and I have let things slip!



My desk is a hive of Studio 490 activity - shows on Saturday at 12pm and 6pm - and the rest of the room is being ignored. Actually, it is very annoying in here at the moment because it is so messy... I had mooted the idea of taking my sample making to the Dining Room table... poor Grim turned a very pale shade of grey... so I quickly re-assessed that idea, I don't want to be making the poor lad ill with the thought of my stash ALL over the house do I? **although, he is so easy going he wouldn't mind... well, not much... really... lol**




Anyways... I won't have time to visit any of you this week... well, I might get a few visits done... so... as a thank you for leaving me a comment here I has some candy for you. WOYWW... It Was Tidy...

... honest, it was!!! I spent a couple of hours tidying away and throwing out and putting stuff back in its place... and then I made it all messy again! Well, who ever heard of a tidy crafter eh? Back in January I made a few resolutions and one of them was to keep the Room of Stash tidy at all times... and I think, over all, I managed... occasionally I have slipped off the tidy-wagon and the Room of Stash has become the Doom of Trash a few times. Why am I waffling on about the state of my room eh? Well... today is Wednesday which means it's time for the crafty peeps of Bloglandia to show off their desks/rooms/floors (you are so NOT seeing my floor, I have a reputation to keep you know lol) Head on over to Julia's blog and see what all this is about... I keep being asked "what are the black things under the desk?" Well, they are my beloved and most treasured Studio 490 stamps... and check out the ink pads in front of where I sit... all labelled neatly... they are my Archival Inks... and then I have the Distress Inks/Stains, also labelled and in colour order (I am so organised with that kind of thing... shame about the rest of the room lol)



Anyways... yesterday I was going on about those ickle Rosette Trees that the Duke of Distress was showing on his blog (HERE they are)... and of course, if I try something once and like it, I get very quickly addicted and have to make more... which is why I now have a small forest of trees... needless to say, they are all glittered which means that I am now all glittered... as is AlfieCat who has been assisting with the bow making, he is ever so clever, getting ribbon in his chops and hurtling off down the stairs... shame the ribbon was still attached to the reel... a very lot of winding it back on you know...


Right I had better get a move on... I am debating whether to do the "big" shop today... but I have lots of other things that I can be doing, like ironing and defuzzing the cobwebs (tis like Miss Haversham's dining room in the corners of my room!) Shopping? For Christmas? I must be mental... *no need to answer that one* Thanks for looking...
