...blimey! I have been faffing about in the Room of Stash this morning and have found no less than SIX different projects that I have started in classes and not finished... I never finish my class demo samples... ever! So, I am remedying that today and have been... as I said... faffing with one of the canvas classes I taught a few weeks ago. I had managed to get the paper blocking done during demo's but that was as far as I went with it. Here's a sneaky peek of it, tis nearly finished... just needs something extra adding, not sure what exactly yet, which is why it is still classes as a WIP!
I had a loverly afternoon yesterday... remember I said Grim is off this week? Well, we decided to jump on a train and go to that London for the afternoon and evening. We started off at Covent Garden and watched the most hilarious street performer/magician/stand-up guy... Then we perused Lush, well it would have been plain rude not to go in there and buy lots of Snow Fairy (tis my FAVE smelly and it is only available for Xmas... so we bought enough to last me all year... it smells like a mix of candyfloss and strawberries.. and it has glitter in it! So if you are stuck for Xmas pressie ideas for me, Snow Fairy works... very well.... rofl) Anyways... once Grim had spent very lots in Lush *I have THE best hubby* we had a mooch around the market - it was a "made stuff" day which I loves, seeing how clever those folks are making jewellry from old spoons and forks and stuff... very clever indeedily. Then we stumbled into the Punch & Judy - well, again, plain rude not to partake of a beverage right? We then walked (ok, Grim walked, I kind of waddled) up through Soho... oh and then trying to get through Leicester Square! Ha! There was some kind of fancy-schmancy thing going on, it was all barricaded off and there were some very posh looking peeps in long dresses and strange things on their heads (like the woman who had to be at least 80 with an alice band that had cats' ears on it... ) So, after circumnavigating Leicester Square we finally got to Prezzo for dinner... I loves Prezzo... if you haven't been or ever had them... have the Italian Nacho's... ohlalalaaaa... they are LUSHNESS indeedily. Anyways... once we had eaten we wandered about a bit more and ended up at Picadilly Circus... I was sad to see poor old Eros has a load of advertising hoarding around him, blink and you would miss him! Then it was time to come home so we headed to St Pancras... via Starbucks of course - I loves the Coffee Frappuchino's.. Grim had an Eggnog Latte... I had a sip... Ewwww, not sure about that flavour at all... I shall stick to plain old coffee I thinks! Right, I had best go, I have all those other things to finish today... and between you and me, I having the best time playing in the Room of Stash! Thanks for looking... TTFN!
Hels x
PS... stay warm... tis chuffing chilly-willy-billy out there isn't it!!!!

Oh gosh makes me wish I still lived in that wonderful City of London but alas I'm now stuck here in Aust. I had a wander down memory lane reading all the names of the spots there - very homesickness making stuff that!
Glad you both enjoyed the day.
Cheers,
Elaine
