Today is his 50th birthday - and to celebrate the "golden" milestone, we are spending a day doing one of our favourite past-times, messing about on the river. Oh yesh, today we are heading off to the Norfolk Broads for a day of rest, relaxation and ripararian adventures! (Just for once, I have used my education and remembered a "big" word... ripararian... ha, take that Mr Deith *ancient English teacher*) Anyways, as ever I have digressed and waffled on... I just wanted to say a HOOOOGE Happy Birthday to Grim... he may be 50 in years but he doesn't look it at all... I am sure he has hidden a painting in the attic you know!
Today I have another demo card to show you... this is one of my faves I think - I love the colours (which, BTW, very topical because they are Luton Town's colours... Grim's been a fan for about 827 years) The design is pretty simple because I wanted to show off the dies and stamps... sometimes I think less can be more - I have to really give myself a good talking to so I do put less on a creation... and this one is a case in point.
Labels 28 is the main part of the card, along with Venetian Accents - those borders are so pretty - and the Fancy Framed Labels so the butterfly, which is a Studio 490 stamp from Botanical Art, has somewhere to perch. Simply edged with Dried Marigold DI and stamped with Black Soot DI, isn't that a gorgeous sentiment?
Right, I shall away, I need to hoist the mainsail and crank the jib and all that. Actually, I made that up, we have a normal broads boat, not a yacht - imagine just how dangerous I could be with a yacht... mmm, that would be a disaster lol Thanks for looking... TTFN!

Happy, happy birthday Grim! Hope you had a fab time on the boat *shudders* as I am still seeing a psychologist to get over that holiday on the broads last year!!! The card is beautiful as always... I know "less is more" and is a lesson I need to learn, but sometimes lots is just more fun to make isn't it?!!!!
