Blinking Blimey...

...one of those "blink and you miss it" shows yesterday. Firstly, thank you all for your lovely emails and messages of support - and for all those orders! You have some lovely post on its way to you :O)) I couldn't believe how quickly the metal and the dies flew... so today I have a couple of cards using the metal and M'Bossabilities to show you. The first one was using the Ornamental Iron M'Boss folder - I know I kept saying "oh that's my favourite" yesterday but actually... they all really were! This one is no exception - I love that you get two different designs on the folders too... and they always go together too so you can use both or just one on a project.

I popped some of the metal onto black cardstock - I use black out of preference not only because it gives a good backing but also it looks neater when you add black paint to age the piece. So, running the metal/card thru the Calibur with the Ornamental Iron folder and then using Pitch Black Dabber, smooshing it right across the whole piece so it goes into the nooks and cranny's. Then wiping off the excess with a bit of kitchen roll ages it perfectly. One thing I did forget to mention yesterday - you can use your Alcohol Inks on the metal, I have tried and they go on beautifully so you can colour it before the paint stage. Remember that if you do that, the paint will remove some of the Alcohol Ink. I made three Spiral Blossoms with black card and then cut some of those gorgeous leaves and popped them behind.

*'scuse the rubbish pic... tis better IRL*

Card two is using the Industrial folder but this time I opted to cut the embossed piece down - showing that you don't have to use it in the larger size. The metal is thin enough that it cuts in the paper trimmer with no probs. Again, this was aged with black paint and has a stamped sentiment (remember when you stamp with Archival ink to give it a zap with a heat tool to set then ink ... if you don't heat set it when it's stamped onto a shiny surface, it won't set and it will smudge) The flowers are actually made up from some of the Sprightly Sprockets and then the smallest flower on the Anemone set - cut and curled and a gem popped into the centres. More leaves for decoration and voila, a quick and simple card.

I am taking a day off today.. oh yesh indeedily, I have seven omnibus episodes of Corrie to catch up on, not to mention the 25 episodes of Doctors... oh and the Touring Cars racing from yesterday... a day of vegging on the sofa is called for methinks! Thanks again for your lovely emails and support, tis very muchly appreciated... Have a lovely day! TTFN

Have a lovely relaxing day - enjoy!! It was indeed a bit frantic yesterday with all the sell outs but not surprised 'cos there were lots of favourite items on there.

JP won't disappoint! Loved the demos and samples for these 'feminine industrial' projects! Remembering you were hankering after the Sprightly Sprockets at Ally Pally, I had to smile when they appeared on your blog :)) The folders are great but it is the Foliage sets that got me excited (I know, it doesn't take much!!) Enjoy your veggie session. Hugs, Buttons x

The time really flew with your shows Hels - I still enjoyed them though.

I think these cards are super - really like the metal flowers. They look sooo heavy but, of course, they aren't. Brilliant.

Hugs Sue P xx

Hope you have enjoyed your day.

Hi Hels

I hope you have managed to put your feet up today after the manic show yesterday.

I have managed to source myself some metal sheets today so I am getting plenty of ideas for things to do with them.

I really like these two cards the metal works really well in them both.
