...you know, sometimes I am just totally overwhelmed by the kindess and thoughtfulness of friends... and I wanted to tell you about this amazing thing that is happening, just in case you haven't seen about it... the more peeps that know, the better the outcome will be. So, my friend Janey has a little Jack Russell called Daisy. Janey also has a lovely boy, Tom, who suffers from Aspergers Syndrome... and Daisy is his world. A few days ago, Daisy had an accident and has torn the Cruciate Ligament in one of her legs. The V E T has told Janey that to repair this will cost £1600... so it is either have the surgery or... Daisy will have to be put to sleep. Janey doesn't have any pet insurance... but that is something (to quote Kirsty) is of no consequence to me or any of the generous people who are joining in with this event.
Facebook can be a wonderful thing and Janey's friend, Kirsty Wiseman, read what was happening to Daisy and got staight into action and has set up a mammoth raffle to raise money for Daisy to have her operation. HERE are all the details about the raffle and how to buy a ticket... and I have to say... the prizes that have been donated thus far are stupendous... so, for just £2 you can have a ticket, help Daisy have the op she needs to save her.... and also be in with a chance of winning some monumentally good prizes. I would really like everyone who reads this post to just take 5 mins to go and read about Daisy's Appeal and find that couple of quid to help save her. Kirsty has also set in place all the details and legal stuff to organise the funds, and if there are any funds left over, they will be split equally between the Aspergers Society and the Dogs Trust.
Thanks for looking... and for joining in with this amazingly wonderful raffle.
