Sunday Stampers - Week 133 - Script For A Jesters Tear

Ah, goodly morning indeed stampers... first off... THANK YOU all for your lovely lovely entries last week and a very special mention for Hazel who entered an amazing amount of times... if you click on her name you will be able to see her gorgeous creations :O)) So... on with this weeks challenge... as the song title suggests, the theme for this week is... SCRIPT. Tis easy to join in with the Sunday Stamper, all you need to do is make a piece of art, include the theme and some stamping, leave me a comment here with the linky to the place you are showing your entry and I can hop on over to have a gander... now, this week seeing as it is coming up for Christmas, I am doing a giveaway as a thank you for all the lovely comments I have had this year. The giveaway is two-fold... first of all, I am giving away my entry for this week... and the second part is another Hels' Tag of Christmas which you will be able to see more deets and pics of HERE on the Artistic Stamper Creative Team blog. I will tell you all about how to enter later on... Oh and before I forget... this weeks theme is open until 21:00 Saturday December 18th '10

So, my entry this week is a total copycat of an idea from The Duke Of Distress... he had it on his blog the other day - and I loved, loved, loved it so much I had to copy and make one myself... and what a lovely project it was indeed! The frame is painted with black dabber and then sanded back to the wood in parts... I incorporated this weeks theme by stamping a script in black StaZon all over the frame - it is subtle but I liked the look it gave... kinda old and worn out (bit like me LOL) The middle of the frame is actually made up from a Philosophy Tag packet which had a piece of card popped behind it and then I cut out 12 circles from the Seasonal Paper Stash, placing them behind the raised bits of packaging and then adding some trinkets and Idea-ology to them.

To brighten up the frame a bit, I spreaded (!) some Traditional Tan paint onto my craft sheet and then used the bitty dotty stamp to add some splodges... in my head they were woodworm holes... in reality they are more like earthworm holes, but hey, I tried LOL

So... the giveaway... here is a peeksy-boo at the tag I am giving away - all the deets are HERE. To join in with the Sunday Stamper giveaway, all you have to do is leave me a comment here, add a linky/pic in your sidebar or on your blog back to my blog and, if you aren't already, become a follower. And... if you enter this weeks challenge, I will add your name in twice into the hat. To be in with a chance of owning the tag, all you need to do is leave a comment on the post over on the AS Creative Team Blog... all the deets are over there anyways for you :O)) I will post worldwide... and... a few bits of stashly goodies may just find their way into the envelope too ;o} The winners will be announced next Sunday, 19th December '10

So... did anyone watch Strictly??? Or the X Factor??? We have been out all evening at Grim's works Christmas meal... I am stuffed fatter than a porky piglet (why do I always have that chocolate mint with my coffee, I am sure it is that that tips me over the edge ROFL) so we have Sky +'d them both... so once I have posted this I am off to flop onto the sofa and watch them... looks like I will be getting a late night... oh and tomorrow... or today should I say... is... D Day... yep, Decoration day... the day I dread all year is upon us, I have to unpack (yaaaak, hate unpacking) all the baubles and tinsel... I have to chase AlfieCat away from said tinsel, I have to test the fairy lights and, I don't know if you do this... but... I always look away and then squint at them - just incase they are busted and I need to go and buy more... tis that dread of the mess a tree makes and then the "what do I do with the ornaments?" dilemma... still, it looks pretty and... it is worth it when the living room looks all sparkly and festive. Anyways, enough of the waffling from me... thanks for looking... don't forget to leave me a comment :O))... and... happy Sunday! TTFN
