490 Seconds...

...Cor blimey, I have been laughing my socks off reading the comments left for me on yesterday's post... Lizzybobs *along with many more* said... "loving your Fanny" - that made me spit my cwoffeee at the screen that did... Fanny? What... haven't seen my wafflings about Fanny Flamingo? Click HERE to see the post - tis all about honouring our brave and uber talented friend Sherry and raising awareness of breast cancer... and Fanny Flamingo is waiting for a new home... :O)) Anyways... enough of my mercilessly plugging the Pink Warrior Women Blog Hop lol...

I have been playing with Ten Seconds Studio's metal and Studio 490 stamps... I love Wendy Vecchi - her style, art, stamps... yes, you know all that already... but a few weeks ago Wendy featured a FAB new way of making dimensional flowers from Grungepaper... as ever, I copied her and made my own version... and then the other day decided to make a metal one... see if it works like.. which it did! HERE is Wendy's original post on how to make them... I cannot take any credit at all for the fabulosity of these lol

So, the Simon Says Stamp & Show Challenge this week is to use metal on your artwork... so, I have used LOTS of it.. in fact, it is all metal except for the Grungepaper, oh and the glass bottle... oh and yep, the pearls and danglies too :O))

The piece is based on my original Rosey Heart Art that I made nine hundred years ago and to my utter amazement, Wendy featured on her blog.. which in turn was seen by Ellen, who in turn is now one of my BFF's and... is coming to stay with me in... 45 DAYS!!!! OOoooh, I cannot wait!!! So, the metal piece - a whole heap of TSS metal, a Kabuka mould, some scootchy wheels and black paint... some Grungepaper, Studio 490 stamps, some Distress Inks and some Idea-ology... voila!

Goodly news from the Room of Stash too... yes indeedily... the box of Christmas stash has been found!!! After much nagging, whining and generally making a nuisance of myself, my lovely Grim went a searching for me yesterday and found a box... along with another one that has all my fibres and ribbons and old artwork in... and YIPYAH and thrice... the first one was clearly labelled Christmas Stash - Bedroom Two... mmm, those removal men left the majority of my stash boxes in the dining room... something tells me they got cheesed off carting the 30 odd boxes up the stairs ROFL Anyways.. I know the reason that the box was found... because... Vicky in NY said that she was going to whisper some incantations to make the holiday stash turn up... THANK YOU Vicky... so, do you fancy another lot of whispering and making a winning lottery ticket turn up in my purse??? ROFL Anyways... I now have no excuse not to get cracking on Christmas cards now.. mmm, maybe I should have just pretended the box was gone forever!! LOL So, what are you doing today? I am going to get inky and messy and yes, something Christmassy will be made... *eventually*... thanks for looking... have a goodly day! TTFN

Ditto Brenda's comments! Really looking forward to Sunday having worked for the last two weekends, I think I deserve a play day!!! The hanging looks absolutely fab!!

Will be good to see what you make from your Christmas stash box - might inspire me to get started - can't say I have much enthusiasm to start Christmas cards yet but I did make a resolution not to leave them to December this year....... yeah, whatever!!

See you Sunday!

Hels, your work is so wonderful! I just visited Wendy's before I popped over here, and she has a new flower on display that is neat!

I love the depth of colors you used on this. Fantastic job.

This is amazing, I love it! Loved all the funny comments about your Flamingo! Did you know Fannys are a range of potted herbs in France, and yes, I did shout across the shop to Colin to have a look! Then there was the time I was making a Coq au Vin ....!

Keep making us laugh!
