Sunday Stampers - Week 86 - Tiger Feet...

Morning Stampers, Happy Sunday to you all....

Many thanks for all your entries last week...loads of beautiful faces to see on my hops :O)) This week the theme is... FEET....you can add a tiger in if you like but that is the only song I could think of with feet in the title...and once I had put this piece together I couldn't get over the amount of times I had stamped feet *not stamped my foot I hasten to add LOL* To join in with the challenge all you need to do is make something, use stamping, incorporate the theme and then leave me a comment here with a link to the place you are showing your art. This theme closes at 23:00 Saturday January 16th '10.

I made a Shadow Box for my entry, painting it first with...*no prizes for guessing* Traditional Tan paint and then blobbed some Rock Candy Cracklepaint all over the top. Once this had dried I used Purple Pansy and Jazz Blue Glimmer Mists to colour the frame, the beauty of using the Glimmer Mists is you can control the colouration...and the mists drop into the crackles too. The centre was made up using a template of card that I pre-cut and then inked the card pieces with Old Paper then a few with Dusty Concord and the rest with Broken China...matching it in with the frame.

All of the stamped images are by PaperBag Studio's again...I am being a good stamper and not just favouring one make at the moment *not sure how long that will last though* All the images were stamped with black StaZon - I find it better to use a permanent ink for this type of project in case I splosh something over the top...it doesn't get ruined then!

I added some metal bits and bobs, the little hooky thing at the top is actually a boot button hook...I have had this for yonks and just thought that it went well with the amount of feet I had stamped....I made a metal rose using Ten Second Studio Pearl metal which was coloured with the Glimmer Mists...and then used the large Flower Power stamp from the Artistic Stamper, backing the metal onto black card and then sticking together with a Grungeboard flourish behind it. The rest of the metal bits are mainly Idea-ology. I filled up a mini bottle with beads just because I always seem to add one of these bottles into every shadow box I do!

Thanks for looking...have a great week and I hope that you don't get too snowed in...it is snowing a bit here at the moment...I would like another big drop so I can try and make a snowman...better than the effort I made last year LOL

Hels x

O'K so just how many canvases do you go through a week? I think I need to take stock in them. LOL.
A truly grogeous art piece ,you know I don't own a single one of their stamps, not available here in the U.S. and you know how they nail you in customs! LOL

I love your shadow box and all the elements. I really must invest in some of those stamps... been looking at them for ages!

I love to have a look at your blog on a Sunday, it often ignites my mojo, so today I had a go and came up with this rather frivolous piece

Thank you Hels x
