The Sunday Stampers - Week 6 Man Oh Man!!

Good morning everyone!

Firstly, Happy Mother's Day to all you Mum's out there, be your babies human or furry ones like my AlfieCat :O))

Week 6 already....and high time for another stamping challenge.

This week the theme for the challenge is...... Man/Men

Make a card, ATC, Fat Page, Moo, Skinny, tag...in fact, just whatever you wish....but you must use an image of a man or of men. I will just add that whilst they are really cute, please don't use any of the Magnolia or Sugar Nellies stamps for this challenge as they have their own challenges that are fab to join in with :O))

I have made two cards for this one...purely because I bought a stamp over a year ago and have only used it once, partly because I wasn't sure what to do with it but also because it is a little, er, how can I put it....er...... graphic!!!! ;oO

This is the first card....

As you can see, this image is the Vitruvian Man by Leonardo DaVinci. It is a stamp from Stampers Anon and I love the fact that it is so unusual. I was RAK'd some heaven papers from Claire and in the pile of papers was the sheet that I have used here. It is fab because it shows different sketches of the Vitruvian Man and gave me a good excuse to get him out!! I know that he has a few little bits on show....but I guess if it was good enough for Leonardo, it is good enough for us ;O)) The sentiment is from a pack of stamps I bought years ago and I cannot remember who the maker is though.

The second card...

Another chap on this card. The stamps are from the Artistic Stamper, as is the Grungeboard and the little anchor embellishment. I stamped the image using Sepia Versafine and then matted onto some gold and brown card. I stamped the ruler on the left hand side and then added the Grunge hinges, fastening them with little crosshead brads, also from the Artistic Stamper. The anchor was in a Jamboree bag and was silver, so ...no prizes for guessing what I did to make it gold...the old Krylon does come in very handy for altering things like this!!

I hope that you all enjoy this challenge...and remember, if you haven't got any stamps that are "men" then why not use a lady one and add a 'tache LOL

Hels x

these cards turned out great. I love both images.

It is so strange to read about Mother's Day. Mother's Day in the US is not until May.

Happy mother's day to you Hels!

I had to read up on mother's day to figure out why everyone in UK is saying it is coming early this year. The link is on my sidebar for everyone.
Great work with the cards as usual!!

Lovely cards Hels ;-D Was thinking I didn't have any 'men' stamps, only a tiny bride & groom (which I'm not keen on and didn't want to use), till I saw the 2nd one which reminded me of my PaperArtsy 'Tailor' stamp
