Curiously Tinselled...

HERE it is... all the info you will need is listed there.   This week we are turning to Page 60 of the book and playing with Woodlands & Tinsel Twine.  As ever with the Compendium Challenge, neither I, nor the Curiosity Crew, will be posting the technique instructions and participants must not do so either. We all want to encourage people to buy Tim's awesome book; giving away the instructions wouldn’t be fair to him. Linda will have no choice but to un-link any entries that don’t follow this rule.  

My entry this week actually has been one of those projects I have been intending to make for.... FOUR years!  I know!  Talk about slow coach!  Anyways... I managed to get a bumper pack of Tim's Woodlands and decided to chop them up so they were all different sizes... cool huh?  I also found a little wreath that came with a smaller pack of Woodlands last year and it was sitting there, unloved, uncoloured etc... so that made it onto my Configuation Box.

Last week much madness and mayhem decended on the Room of Stash... I decided to tidy up!  For the last year I have had a pot of Rock Candy Distress Glitter sitting next to me on the desk.... and yep, I tidied it up... and can I find it?  Well, actually no, at the time of making this piece, I couldn't find it... so I prayed to St Anthony who ignored me until about half an hour ago and voila, the pot of Distress Glitter was there, in my work box... the one I cart about with me to classes... um... too late?  Well, it is for these photo's but not for my project, I shall glitter to within and inch of my life later :O)

There are lots of "natural" goodies on the box that I collected from a cheapy bargain shop at the end of last year... they came in handy!  I used hot glue to stick them down - yep, I have a blister on my thumb now... but everyone knows that if you use a hot glue gun it is the law to get a blister right?

I used a bit of Grungeboard covered with Sticky Back Canvas to cut the Prancing Deer... then I cut him again just from Grunge, stuck the two together and then inked with Frayed Burlap and Walnut Stain inks, fraying the edges of him and then popping some Tinsel Twine around his neck so he has a jazzy scarf... adding in a little Christmas Token for decoration.

There be a couple of mini baubles hiding behind the bow (cannot believe I managed to make a bow that doesn't look like something Alfie hacked up!  My bow making skills are nil usually!)  and I coloured the baubles with a smidge of Alcohol Ink to make them a bit mercury glass like... shame I am a dingbat and didn't get a proper piccie of them...
