Been Playing... Again!!!

...oh yesh indeedily, Mr Postie brought me happy post today so it was only right and proper than I ripped open the packet, dragged off the wrapping and got to play right away!  And what is it that is making me soooo excited???  BRAND NEW.... Distress Paints!!! Hurrah and thrice!!!

I was lucky enough to see these being demo'd at CHA by Wendy Vecchi and Tim Holtz and knew as soon as I saw them being used that I neeeeeded them... like "couldn't live without"  neeeeeeded!!  I know a lot of peeps have been saying "they are just like Dabbers"   Well, actually, apart from the bottles they come in,  they are nowt like Dabbers.  For starters they haven't got fillers in them, so unlike Dabbers, the foam top won't fill up and become compressed and gunky.   And... they are Distress which means... reactive with water!  Here are a few tags I have done during my play...

Broken China, Picked Raspberry, Seedless Preserves

For each tag I smooshed the paint onto a craft sheet, lightly spritzed with water and then dipped the tag through the painty mix.  Once dried (with heat tool) I re-dipped to pick up little bobbles of paintyness.

Antique Linen, Peeled Paint, Bundled Sage

Fired Brick, Wild Honey, Seedless Preserves

And... they also stick to metal... and resin!!! So you can alter your embellishments too!  I used my favourite applicator to pop the paint onto these... my finger.

I am running out of time to play today so I going to be good and put these away for the meantime... well, unless I can't sleep, then I shall be playing all night too!  Right, I shall away... thanks for looking... TTFN!
