The Steampunk Locomotive...**with edit**

...is awaiting departure for its inaugural journey HERE. Oh yesh, indeedily, I have become an inventor... Well... sort of. So, it is my Snazzy DT week and today sees my second project for the month using the Chocolate Baroque Steampunk stamp set. It is funny how an idea plants itself in my mind and then grows and grows until it has taken over my Room of Stash... you should see the state of it again. All because of the mad idea, which, by the time I had found what I was looking for, I realised it wasn't as I had remembered so I thunked again. Yep, I am waffling... all will become clear if you pop on over to Snazzy's blog - I have gone into great detail on how my invention evolved. (and yay, finally I have a new career (mad inventor) and my hair matches it... think the mad Prof from Back To The Future lol)

Can you do me a favour please?
Can you have a look at my latest invention and then come back here and reassure me that you "get" what I mean too? Only, I showed it to Grim and his initial reaction was... "what is it?" And when I said it was a locomotive he looked at me like I had gone stark staring tonto. I haven't... have I? *and no quips about that happening a long time ago right? lol* I shall away to lay down in a darkened room... all this excitement has been exhausting lol Thanks for looking! TTFN!

Hels x

**Guess what??? I am a complete NUmPtY! I reckon my little Steampunk Locomotive is actually a time machine, I blogged my DT thing... and actually it should be NEXT Monday, 10th Sept. Go on, admit it, you are laughing... well, I don't mind, I am laughing too... whoooooops! So, please do hop over to see it but also, stay and see Astrid's gorgeous creations too! wanders off to sit in the corner**

Hi Hels, This steampunk locomotive is absolutely amazing, I love it, I love the whirlygig on top (with the wings and key), so if you run out of coal, you can always wind it up and become a steampunk 'heli-loco'. It's FAB. Lots of love from Patricia xx

I'm going over to look at your LOCOMOTIVE but I don't need to do that to confirm it is a LOCOMOTIVE with a key winder of course!! Perhaps Grim ate something funny over the weekend and his eyesight has been affected? I prescibe more carrots for him so that he can see more clearly. . . .

Hi Hels, my Tom does this to me all the time when I make something with the slightest hint of steampunk. He smiles and mutters something vaguely nice about it, but I know he aint getting it, lol! Anyway, WE all get it and it bloomin amazing..mind you the thought of it being a loco time machine is even better :) Carole Z X

Hi Hels - I think it's a time machine!! Sorry but I see it as that more than anything else. I also think it would look lovely on top of the television - or on the mantelpiece. Mind you I am now laughing - whatever it is I think it is beautiful!!!

Hugs to you Sue P xxx

So I was thinking, ...No you haven't lost the plot Hels....but it seem that actually you have! It looks like a little Locomotive 1. Stephenson's 1st loco. However I still think you are loca! Michelle x

Of course it's a steampunk locomotive - just a time-travelling one, that's all! Found it at Snazzy's first - and only then arrived here to hear about your brainstorm... sorry, but it did make me smile! I'm happy to see it a week early!!

OMG - that is so seriously cute and so very very much like a train! You're not loco, well not how your Grim thinks - they just don't always see things the way we creatives do! I love it - very very inspirational! Karen x
