...where I come from a Black & Tan is a drink. It brings back nostalgic memories of my lovely Dad who oft ordered one from our local. I am not entirely sure what one is... perhaps I should have paid more attention but I was more interested in getting a bottle of pop and a packet of peanuts lol I think it's half a Guiness with a half of bitter in the same glass. Anyways. Black and tan, the colours of todays offerings. More cards from the shows on Sunday - you all went bonkery-bonkers for those new 6" cardstock packs you know. I am so chuffed because I picked those to go on the show and it makes me really happy that I picked something that you all loved. And... I love them too. There are 36 pages in the book and the weight of the card is about 180 - 220 gsm (ish - am not 100% sure) but whatever the gsm is, it is pretty sturdy. The papers are patterned on one side and kraft on t'other - I have a bit of a thing for Kraft stuff you know, probably because it was practically non-existent in the UK until recently.
Card #1 has a whole sheet of the dotty design and a band of the stripey design on it, a Sprocket cut from black card and the insidey bit is cut from sand colored card (Neutral cardpack... the best!) The flowers are made using the script design, stamped with the flower from Dimensional Rose Art (fab Studio 490 set) and then I added a smidgen of colour using Broken China DI. The leaves are from the new leafy Spellbinders (which you all snapped up in double quick time)
Card #2 uses the same flower stamp, this time I stamped it onto the swirl design and the script, cut them in half and overlaid them... and then had a diddy flower stamp for the middle and finally a gorgeous Embellish Your Art button for the middle. The leaves are from the ickle Leaves Spellbinders set (I think there were about 3 sets left in stock)
And Card #3 is, I think, my fave. I love that fancy damask design...teamed up with the classy labels and a couple of diddy flowers from the Anemone set - I just cut them out of black card and curled the petals with my pokey tool.
Right then, it is time for me to make a quick exit... as ever, thank you all for your lovely comments and support... it truly does make me smile big. TTFN

Morning Hels, These cards are beautiful, exactly my style. I was watching the shows, that I recorded, yesterday (as was away for the weekend) and as soon as I saw the Black and Tan papers I got C&C up on my laptop, and guess what they had gone boo hoo, but I have just seen on Same Poole's Blog that she has got them in stock. I am just finishing off watching the recordings now, weird watching you on TV and at the same time typing this comment to you ha ha !! I love how you use 2 masks, one after the other, it's so effective. Thanks for sharing Hels. Lots of love from Patricia xx
Hi, I love all todays cards. The craft paper is really cool. I too like the flowers on the first one.
Hi Hels, Fab shows on Sunday lovely lady! The Kraft card pad was gorgeous and so are your cards. I think I need that leaf die now I've seen the cards close up. They are very realistic and so tiny. It's no wonder they sold out ...... as did quite a few other items, lol!
My OH and I used to work behind a bar when we were first married (to earn extra pennies) and I just checked with him to see if I remembered correctly..... BLACK AND TAN was stout (preferably Guiness) and bitter (preferably from our own local brewery Mansfield, now sadly closed :O() and BLACK VELVET was stout (Guiness) and cider.
