... have you seen him? Well, I for one haven't, I am sure he is somewhere but he is hiding... little beggar that he is. Who? Mr Mojo!!! Oh yes, that old rascal has done a bunk. Which is typical because I deemed yesterday evening to be Hels' Own Crafting Time... you know, just playing, having inky fun and all of that? Well, what actually happened was I started a tag, hated it, binned it. Started another tag, hated it, binned it... you get the jist?
So, for want of anything else to do, I mooched around Blogland and happened across a rather gorgeous blog called One Lucky Day. I have been here before but never really spent much time. So this time I whiled away nearly an hour, corrrrr, you should go and have a look... inspiration central it is there! Whilst I was there I spied this really cool piece HERE. How gorgeous is that?!!! Well, being as I have several of those oil boards lurking in the back of a cupboard, I decided to have a little try and see how I got on.
This one here is using Basic Grey Capella and Little Black Dress Papers - and I chopped up the paper pieces to be smaller than the original. I love it! It was really therapeutic to paste all those little bits of paper on... and then doing a wash with my beloved Traditional Tan paint. Paula had used Texture Paste mixed with paint to get some texture onto her piece. So, I did a whole lot of whinging and whining because I haven't got any texture paste. Or have I? Aha! Lightbulb moment... I have some Terra. So. Can you mix Terra with paint to colour it? Oh YESH you can!!! I mixed Juniper Dabber with the Terra and I am loooving that colour.
Obvs cos I am now addicted to this technique, I have started another board... that can be my WIP to keep me amused. Right, I better go, don't tell anyone but I have one more oil board and it is bare... so it might be needing some paper lurve.... Thanks for looking... TTFN!

Wish I could produce work like that when my mojo disappears, as he does, frequently. Off to have a look at your inspiration and find out more about oilboards - new one on me.
Supposed to be packing for Artstamps Cornwall but everyone needs a little break don't they! Wowee I so love this (and really need to break the artboards out right now) Mr Mojo obviously returned rejuvenated xx
Hels, your mojo didn't get too far then. I can never imagine you being stuck for ideas ever. You inspire most of us, if the truth be told. Your boards are Fan-dab-i-dozi. I think the rain you sent me on Sunday has just arrived this afternoon, you just cannot get the staff nowadays. Hugs Rita xx
Wow! Yours turned out FABULOUS! And the original one you pointed us to, well suffice it to say..between the both of you, I now have to put creating a board on my list. lol.
Well this is just gorgeous - love the papers and also the painted terra, so now I must go and check your inspiration.
Lovely work Hels will have to pop over and look at those !
Think your Mr Mojo has gone on holiday with mine xxx
wow Hels I love this, Mr Mojo is right there in the Room with you I would say x
Know how you feel Hels, haven't made a thing in two weeks! Will pop over and see if that website can work the same miracle for me as it did you!!
On my way to see that inspiration as it has got some fab work out of you!! Just a thought - you could add a few special ATC sized pieces to one like this as a bit of a memory board? Hugs, Buttons x
Thanks Hels, you made my day!

I know what you mean about Mr Mojo, one day he's there the next he's off into the sunset. You have still managed a beautiful creation Hels. Thanks for the workshop the other weekend at Dawn Bibby's DS, I loved every single minute of it. Julia xx
