Sneaky Peekings....

...ohhhhllllaaaaaallaaaa and thrice! I have been busy making samples for my shows on Saturday and... I have some... Blossom Bucket Embellish Your Art!!! Oh yesh indeedily, the brand spanking new embellishment range from Wendy Vecchi is here, in the Room of Stash... and I have been playing! Check out Wendy's Blog - yesterdays post shows some cooool ways to alter the colours of the embellishments. I have to say, I know I am biased but... these are top quality, perfectly designed and so well made.

I spy a special embellie!!

As well as all the excitement with the sample making, I have been in the wars again. I am thinking I should live inside a big bag of cotton wool... mind you, I would probably hurt myself on that too. So, picture the scene: I am walking from the living room to the stairs and AlfieCat is demanding his tea-tea's... which he was demanding very early. I told him "no, you are a greedy pig, you can wait" As is usual when he wants my attention, he nips in between my feet and taps my ankles... no claws out, just being pesky....

ooooh, more embellies!!!

Which is exactly what he was doing as I was mid-step. It was either put my foot down and stand on him or, take an extra long stride and try to make it to the first step. Which is what I tried. I say tried because as I was about to put my left foot on the first step, I heard a nasty popping noise... and then felt the most intense pain in my right calf. I carried on for a couple of steps, sort of collapsed and then started to blub... oh boy, I have never felt such pain! I tried to tentatively get up the stairs. Not. A. Prayer.

Shh, don't tell anyone I showed you these!!!

So, I spent valuable time when I should have been sample making, lounging about on the sofa with an ice pack on the offending muscle. I have been to see the DoctorMan and he has said that I have "ruptured" my calf muscle and I should rest, do ice and heat and take anti-inflammatories which I already do anyway. I just went and got some Arnica Gel too, I swear by that stuff! Well, sitting with my feet up in the Room of Stash is sort of resting surely? Anyways. You will be pleased to know that after last week's skateboarding incident, my broken arm, leg, shoulder, wrist and hip have all healed nicely, the broken nail is tragic though... and a teensy bit sore because it was a bad break lol I am ok in myself and am managing to get about by hobbling and believe it or not, wearing heels actually helps! Right, I am off to get some more samples made and to *try* to keep myself out of trouble.... Thanks for looking... TTFN!

Hels x

Oh Hels, what are you like! I do know that injury is really painful though cos my OH did exactly the same about 15 years ago. It was his own fault though as he was mucking about in the pool on hols. It sure quietened him down for the rest of the stay, lol!

Those samples are looking super cool and can't wait for the shows. Going to have to watch on record a few days later though 'cos just realised DD is coming with the littlies for a couple of days. Mixed blessings as they say! Take care now ..... no more accidents.

Hugs
Lesley Xx

Good grief! It's all happening with you!! Thank goodness you were still able to produce these wonderful samples. Can't wait to see them in more detail.
In the meantime you may need to request a motor scooter at the studio to get you around safely - unless you pretend to be JP!
Take (I was going to say 'good', but I think that should be 'better') care of yourself, hugs, Buttons x

Awww you poor wee thing, I feel so sorry for you as I too can be like that. Never under estimate the power of a cat who wants feeding. I dearly hope you are going to be ok for your weekend classes. Love all the new embellies from Wendy. Take Care. Hugs Rita xx

Are you naturally accident prone or is this something recent?? LOL. Poor you, now that sounds really painful. No consolation but I am having a flare up of my RA and am struggling to get about with the pain, but at least I can manage it. The sneak peeks are lovely (I got some Blossom bucket sent over by Simon Says, you are right it is fabulous). Take care.......Anne x
