Sunday Stamper - Week 195 - Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds

Goodly Morning Stampers and a very happy Sunday to you all. Many thanks for all the gorgeous creations for last weeks challenge... you do really cheer me up with all your amazing creativity. This week the challenge theme is... DIAMONDS. A nice easy theme; you could use diamond stamps, shapes, gems, bling... the possibilites are all out there for you :O)) As ever, to join in is very simples; make a little something, it can be anything you like. Add in the theme and some stamping and then pop across to leave me a comment with a link to the place you are showing your entry. If you don't have a blog/flickr/picassa/photo hosting wotsit, you can email me a pic of your entry. The challenge will remain open until 21:00 Saturday 1oth March 2012.

So... being as I am a complete numbskull, I haven't been able to make a specific piece for my entry this week. I didn't get chance to play before this weekend... and then I was out all day yesterday taking a class at The Stamp Attic... and am out all day today too... so... being Mrs Forgetful, I left all my kit over in the workshop, heat gun, scissors etc... and... I can't craft without either so... my entry this week is actually the sample for today's "Getting Arty" class. With that in mind I won't be going into great detail how I made the piece... so that is a good thing for you because it means less waffle from me! **the pics are rubbish, the colours are much more subtle but I just can't get them to look right in the electric light... will try to do daylight pics and add later**

Anyways... the colours on the canvas are Fresco Finish Paints with a smidge of Crackle... along with some Die Cuts, some ink and some stamping courtesy of my fave Dylusions stamps... and a bit of decoration with Idea-ology. There, that has to be the quickest explanation for a piece ever lol I am really looking forward to the class today, it should be lots of painty fun... and a big shout out and thank you to the lovely ladies who joined me for yesterday's class; Caz, Jan, Barb, Sophie, Naughty Miriam (chocolate provider extraordinaire), Becky, Sue and Yvonne.

Right, that's me for now... as ever, thanks for looking... have a brilliant Sunday... TTFN!

Hels x

Love your canvas, I've seen some done by people on your course and its nice to see how the different use of colour creates a different feel to the canvases.

I have been working with some of my travel photos from England in particular Hels and I would so like to visit again. The marvellous thing would be that I could hunt you down and indulge in a class by you. Each weel I see something else that inspires me as you are most defintely a "What IF" kinda woman.

Anyway enough from me...saving the cents I be but I also played along ...my song was "Diamonds are a girls best friend" by Marilyn. You'll fid my offering here.
