WOYWW... Storage!!!

Aha! Another Wednesday is upon us and that can mean only one thing in Blogland... time for What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday... now, if you haven't heard of this amazing phenomenon, hot foot it over to the very esteemed Leader of the Desk Hoppers, Julia Dunnit... where you will find all the details on how to join in this mammoth blog hop... taking in views of desks both tidy and messy and workspaces galore!

Today on my desk is some storage... namely for my ever expanding Art Parts collection... they used to live in one drawer... and then kind of spread over to the next drawer and now the time has come for them to move into their very own home. This is an old wooden suitcase that I have had for a few years and really, I have neglected it, bunging it under the computer desk, unloved and ignored. Time now for it to come into its own and really belong in the Room of Stash. Believe it or not, I haven't got the full collection of Art Parts... yet... but you can see how many of those lovely shapes I have living with me...

Which means... they are now more accessible (ok, I may have to rummage, but that is the fun part) and... I am now in the mood to go and make something. But first... news on the "broken" foot. Well, I don't think it is broken... it is still sore but heaps better than yesterday... the ache is still there but the swelling has gone down so methinks I have got away with it again... **whispers** still no broken bones... let's hope it stays that way, knowing my propensity for...erm... clumsiness lol Right... time to go and get inky... have a fab day... TTFN

That old suitcase is fabulous - I actually dont own any art parts (yet) but do have a huge drawer full of chipboard - you are right it is fun to rummage through and, who knows, one day I might actually use a piece of it! Thanks for sharing and glad your foot is ok.

Thank goodness you didn't have to use your art parts to make another foot! LOL. The case is a fabulous way to store all your parts.

I don't think I've ever been here before - this looks like a place for everything and everything in its place type gal. A hook for the heat gun? I really need you to sort out my space!

Glad to hear you’re foots on the mend.
Up until last year I had managed to survive 54 years without any broken bones then I managed to do my little toe in the door frame, ouch!

Loving your storage card and if you need anyone to come help rummage I’ll be there like a shot.
Don’t know where I’ve been hiding because I had never even heard of Art Parts until this morning and now I’ve seen them mentioned on a couple of blogs.
Think I might need some, Lol!

Happy Crafting!

That suitcase seems like the most perfect place to store your Art Parts, some things are just meant to be. Glad to hear your foot isn't broken, that would not have been a nice end to your boat trip (which sounded just magical by the way...)

Glad your foot's not too bad, v. jealous of art part stash, strangely one of the few things I have not bought yet. Unfortunately do have expanding a*** parts collection though.xx

Fab idea to use the case - my art parts are continually multiplying and need some new digs to live in...Hope Mr. Foot gets better - strained ligaments can be more painful than any break - do you have a good supportive bandage for the daytime - lots of rest and elevation! Thanks for sharing today! Sarah .

Terrfic trunk. I too would love to ruffle through your goodies.
Are you leaving them in the packages or out? I am always torn, till the package breaks then I have no choice.

Glad your foot is not broken. I love that old wooden case, but be careful where you put it. if you kick that by mistake, you will have a broken foot. I am in real favour of a good rummage too.

HELEN! (That's me, shouting) just because it's not so sore today doesn't mean it's not broken! Indeed, my old man was turned away from Casualty with a broken wrist because they couldn't tell - get it checked, huh.
You saw my 'basket/pile' of wood mounted Christmas stamps - you can have 'em...but only if you trade 'emfor some of your really nice ones AND make all of my cards for the next 100 years. Deal?
Loving the suitcase. WOuld like to see you make a seperator and big old file tabs to create order in it. You could. Or you could enjoy every single rummage. I know what I'd be doing!!

Not sure what art parts are, but I Do Want That Suitcase,

regarding your foot, - it can be more serious if you have nerve, tendon or ligament damage and you really should have it properly checked out...and Julia is right, most fractures settle overnight, which is why we bring people back next day before we decide what to do..

get an xray

be sure

I love that case and I agree it is fun to rummage. Thanks for the laugh and I do hope your foot gets better soon. Sometimes (in my case) a sprain is worse than a break! Thanks for the visit and have a wonderful week!

Glad your foot is feeling better, Hels. I love that old suitcase! It looks like a treasure chest. My mum has just given me a little brown leather case that she used to take her posh shoes in to parties so they wouldn't get dirty on the way! I haven't decided what to keep in it yet. I may embellish it with some vintage luggage labels etc. Happy WOYWW Shoshi #84
