Don't Throw It Away...

...it always pays to keep bits of inky cardstock... well, that is my excuse for having a room full of oddments (and I am not just talking about me lol) Well, when Gillian came to stay at The Room of Stash a few weeks ago, she asked me how I get my Wrinkle Free Distress technique to look dotty... so I showed her, using a few scraps of cardstock and both Stains and Inks. And... because I am a right lazy old moobag and hardly ever clear away my oddments, I found this little bit of card lurking under my desk the other night.

I was in one of those "can't sleep, need to craft" moods and crept into the Room of Stash to see what I could do... quietly, of course, although why is it when I need to be super quiet, I end up crashing about like a loon and dropping stuff all over the place? Anyways, I digress.. again... for a change...

So, the Wrinkle Free colours consisted of Seedless Preserves DI and Rusty Hinge Stain, with a smidge of Black Soot Stain thrown in... all smudged onto a craft sheet and spritzed with water... then the card was dippped and dragged through the inkiness... and then once I had the whole lot covered, I lightly tapped the card onto the ink so pick up little dotty bits. Simples :O)) I added some stamping - all Hallowe'en stamps from the Duke of Distress' collection... and made my own ickle pumpkins from Grungepaper, coloured with Spiced Marmalade DI and then drawn on black pencil.

Anyways... tis time for me to get moving and go and make the Sunday Stamper for tomorrow... I have the theme... am still working on finding a song title to go with it... I think I may have to cheat ever so slightly this week to work something into the theme though :O)) I have spent a lovely day mooching around Durham with Dan and Andrea... OMG, we found THE most HEAVENLY vintage shop... it is chock full of real proper vintage clobber... loads of clothes, shoes, bags, jewellry, coats, watches, cases - oh Lordy above, they had a huge pile of vintage suitcases and trunks... I wanted to bring them all home with me but I was good... and settled for a very small wisp of a scarf - black chiffon with white polka dots... for the princely sum of £3... result! Right... time to get that Sunday Stamper piece made... thanks for looking.... TTFN!
