... tis a special day today... oh yesh indeedily, today is the birthday of the love of my life and very best friend... Grim. And... in time honoured tradition, I opted to buy a card (I know, I know but... I liked the words on the card I got him.... do forgive me? lol) So... AlfieCat tells me he wants to get inky and make a card for his Daddy... you see, usually, it is the other way around, Alfie sneaks off into town clutching my Visa card and buys up all manner of what-have-you for his Daddy, whilst I sit at home, pulling my hair out because I can't get the card I am making to be special enough for Grim. Anyways... I hid the Visa card this year and Alfie decided he wanted to go all Blue Peter on me and make his own card.
Talk about making a mess!! My nice, clean, tidy and organised Room of Stash ended up looking like a bomb had gone off! Cats, my friends, do not clean up after themselves...fact! Anyways... AlfieCat has spied new things arriving in the Room of Stash and, as everyone knows, it is his job to personally sniff every single new article that arrives Chez Sheridan. And... he has sniffed the Distress Stains... and got all excited... so I let him loose... and these here pics are the card that he made. I actually did help him a little bit - his opposable thumb thing is a bit of a hinderance for him - he does find it hard to hold the heatgun in his little paws. But... he toiled away, vigilantly even.. until he had finished his masterpiece.
The colours are appropriate... Grim's "team" is Luton Town FC, their colours are orange, black and white... and AlfieCat is, of course, black and white... so naturally, Alfie immediately pounced on the Picket Fence Stain... and the Black Soot (yes, the one I said I would NEVER get as I wouldn't use it *ahem*) and Wild Honey (the Spiced Marmalade hadn't arrived at that point) He used some Idea-ology, some Alterations - which BTW, cooooolio idea, using the mini Label over the fancy Ornate Plate dies... coolio indeed (I am so gonna steal this idea) ... where was I? Oh yes, and he used some Tim stamps, although I did have to help him with this as his little paws just aren't quite strong enough to hold the acrylic block in place....
Right... that's it from me for now... there's a very strange looking van just turned up and it has square wheels and loads of blokes are getting out and they have white coats on.... mmmm, very strange indeedily, methinks me needs to hide for a while...... TTFN!

I hope you let AlfieCat open the door to the blokes and explain ... LOL. I think he deserves some extra kibble in his plate for making such a FAB card for his Daddy! Many happy birthday wishes to Grim!

hate to say this, but the truth does hurt - but Alfie is better at making cards than you, so I reckon you should keep on buying them.... no offence meant to you Hels, but credit where credit is due to young Alfie
I think you have a very talented cat, I think you should both audition for the next series of Britain's Got Talent - together you can rule the world..... Great card Alfie made, love the colours. And yes, I need Black Soot DS too.... hey ho.
So Alfie is a master in disguise lol He could earn you a great deal of money lol

I think Alfie has had so much fun playing with the DS ... hmmm maybe better watch that though. Loving the colour splats to this tag (nice one Alfie) Happy Birthday Grim, hope Hel's spoils ya. xx
Absolutely STUNNING hun.
You have a ceative cat :)
Gorgeous design. I love it.
Well done Alfie! I wish my cat would would put in more of an effort! I am sure she could come up with something half decent if she tried hard enough. Dang cat!
I have to say not only do I love the colors in this piece but it is also one of my very favorites of yours thus far. It has a style and look all it's own. I know you are a huge Tim H. fan like so many of us are, I just think this tag has got your own touch on it as oppose to Tim's. I hope you know what I mean by that, I don't want that to come out wrong? Quite simply, I love this tag. Thank you for sharing and inspiring.
Oh Alfiecat! Are you for hire? I could do with a bit of help on this week's Sunday Stamper and as I only live down tut road (like the northern accent?!) it wouldn't take you long?!
Having said that, if you're a messy crafter then don't bother - I can mess up my stuff without any help! Fab job btw on the card - looks amazing!
Very clever cat !
You have very talented cat Hels. Must have learnt from his Mum.......you must be very proud!
