Simon Says ...Grungy...

...Monday! And... hurrah and thrice, I have actually managed to make my entry early this week...and... this week the Simon Says Stamp & Show challenge is "anything but a card" So... I made... a tag (for a change like... seeing as I hardly ever make tags... ahem) To see the deets about Grungy Monday click HERE... you will see that this challenge is all about embracing all things Tim Holtz... hosted and devised by that ever so lovely lass Linda Ledbetter... and the deets for the Simon Says challenge are HERE.

So... a few weeks ago I spyed a crop of tags and lovely stuff being made and they all had the new Sewing Room diecuts on them and being as I didn't have this die I had a little mini strop and went a rather bilious shade of Peeled Paint... then I got my act together and picked up said die on eBay...well, it arrived yesterday and I just had to feed it to Victor to see if he liked it... and yep, he does!! Oh and... while I was looking for the Sewing Room I spotted a rather lovely On The Edge die... so er... Mr PayPal bought that for me too... (I am so lucky to have a generous Mr PayPal...I am actually hoping that he feels generous enough to buy me the Umbrella Man die too... ah, I can wish lol)

I covered some mountboard with a piece of paper from the Crowded Attic stamp and whizzed it through Victor... oh and I nearly forgot... the background of the tag is made using THIS technique.. never used this before but I sure do lurve it... the link it to Ranger and shows Tim demo-ing... so worth hopping over on it :O)) I fastened two Charm Clips with a Jump Ring and then clipped one to the top of the tag and the other has the ticket sentiment... the On The Edge die is cut from mountboard and then coloured with DI's and jazzed up with Snaps.

So... are you going to Ally Pally this weekend??? I am going to be there... you will recognise me because I will be wearing a rather ..ahem...fetching article... which I am working on at the moment... needless to say, you will laugh... loudly... and you will probably then walk away and hide just incase anyone sees you with me wearing the...erm... article... all will be revealed on Saturday morning!! Right.. time for me to go and have a little rest... the old war wound is playing up big stylee at the moment... rest is what the Dr ordered... thanks for looking... have a FAB day!! TTFN

Hels, you've once again made a completely perfect and spectacular work of art! The resist worked beautifully on the text stamp, and the seamstress imagery is just way too cool. Aren't those dies fabulous? Gorgeous embellishments, too.

I want to see the Fetching Article you're wearig to Ally Pally. You'll wear it to Ranger U, yes?

Isn't Mr. Paypal the best? He's so generous with my money, and he always brings me lovely things. ;-)
