Ballet & Beeswax...

...you know, I did loads of samples this weekend demo-ing and only got to take a few pics... cos...erm... my camera was in my bag right under my desk but I still forgot to use it! I was using loads of Distress Stains which... I lurve... like very lots! My fave colours are Wild Honey and Vintage Photo... and Vintage Photo... and more Vintage Photo. So, here is a little ATC that I did...

The base is made by mixing Trad Tan paint with a bit of Vintage Photo Stain - simply dab the Stain onto a craft sheet and then mix in some paint and use Cut & Dry to apply... so... once that was done, I splatted more Vintage Photo Stain onto the craft sheet and mixed it with Sunflower Sparkle Perfect Pearls Mists... ooolalaaaaa... delish! I painted the whole ATC with Beeswax and set it aside to harden.

The ballerina... obviously modelled on me ..
.(I wish) was designed by the uber talented Sioux Jenney's who just happened to win Craft Stamper Stamper of the Year 2010 with her amazing designs... well, I am loving these new stamps which are HERE. The wings were overstamped with music score and then more Beeswax was added.

So... the... "story" I mentioned yesterday... right... I will only tell you if you promise that you won't tell anyone else... I mean, I wouldn't want to be known as a tell tale or anything lol So, there I was, standing outside the hotel on Saturday night waiting for Minxy and Gillian. There was a wedding on at the hotel and a few rather... drunk peeps were standing around. There I was minding me own business when a drunk Irish bloke lurches over to me and proceeded to...erm... chat me up (don't laugh... poor bloke had his beer goggles on lol) And... not only did he chat me up, he also said the age old line... "Have you got any Irish in you?" Yes, folks, I fell for it... well, I was in the middle of frantically texting Minxy ... saying "Help! Hurry Up!!" So... thank the lordy above Minxy and Gillian came out... he then said "are these your friends" and... Minxy said.... "yes, she's my girlfriend" OMG, needless to say, we didn't see him again that evening... phew, lucky escape! Tis amazing the things that can happen up in "that London" place!! Right... am off to finally unpack my demo bag... well it is WOYWW tomorrow and my room is resembling the local tip... actually, the tip is probably tidier... hey, just thinking ... why do they call it is a Tidy Tip... when it is not really....tidy??? (no doubt I will be pondering that one for a few weeks) Right.. am deffo off now! Thanks for looking... TTFN

The ATC is a wonderful example of my lovely friend, Sioux' very talented hand. I'm in the process of making some ATCs for swaps and love the idea of one covered in beeswax. Glad the old blarney didn't work for you. You are such a card.

Such a pretty ATC. I tried to get to say hello to you at Ally Pally, but wasn't able to.

like the ballet and beeswax. very pretty. if a tidy tip is a dumping place then the same thing here is called a sanitary landfill. neither is tidy or sanitary to me either. wonder what an untidy or unsanitary dump would look like.
