Grungy...

...Monday!!! How honoured am I!!! A few weeks ago Linda started up this fab new challenge for Monday's... called Grungy Monday... which basically feasts us avid crafty bods on the products and techniques of the God of Crafting (yep, a new name for him) none other than Tim Holtz. Well, you may have noticed that the one and only Duke of Distress is erm... a favourite... of mine.... so, Linda started the new challenge and asked for Guest Designers... so I sent her an email and hurrah and thrice, I have been chosen.... and this week is my turn to play. The deets for the challenge are all HERE. Oh and ... HERE is a link to the Viscount of Vintage's blog.... and HERE is a link to the clever peeps at Ranger... before you go off hopping though.. here is the tag that I made for this weeks challenge...

Using my new favourite sprays and lots of Tim goodies, I made a tag
(my chosen preference for all things inky) and added some Ranger goodies onto it too. I used Butterscotch and Cranberry Colorwash Sprays... coating some Crowded Attic paper with Traditional Tan (there is only one acrylic paint in the world of Hels lol) and then spritzing the sprays onto my craft sheet, then lifting the tag and allowing the sprays to drip... cool effects! I then dried the sprays and lightly misted it with water... cool effect cos the sprays now have a dappled effect. I used some of Claudine sticky back canvas which I backed onto cardstock and coloured these with more of the sprays... a quick Sizzix diecut and I could make some 3D flowers... aren't they just cute!! And...erm... addictive lol

Finally, the stamping for the tag... again using stamps from the Duke of Distress...stamped in Ranger Archival ink... a little ticket with more stamping on... oh and even more finally
(ahem) was the Idea-ology Trim which was also coloured with the sprays... aren't they just soooo versatile!! The Grungy Monday challenge is sponsored and... there's candy to be won!!! As well as me this week, Kate is also a GD... HERE is her blog :O)) Oh.. and... The sponsor this week is Outlaw Woman Scrapbooking Emporium.

I am catching up with blog posts and comments after the weekend... which was busy! And hot! Wow, always always bright sunny skies when it is Ally Pally weekend... I am intending on laying in a darkened room for the next few days to recover... but it was so lovely to meet up with you all... and... thank you to Minxy and Gillian for rescuing me on Saturday night... more about that later though lol Thanks for looking... TTFN!! Hels x

Hels, this is just... beyond... I mean, seriously, it's absolutely gorgeous. Actually, it's more than that. It's like "Gorgeous on Performance-Enhancing Drugs."

Having you as a guest designer is such an honor, and while my brain keeps saying "I'm not worthy!" my heart just says "Thank you over and over and over!"

Love you, girl!
Linda

GORGEOUS tag, Hels! I love everything about it!!! Sooo many little details and the technique is perfection! Just beautiful!! I hate to admit this...but I don't have the color wash sprays here. None stocked or sold at our local stores either. :(

That is some very nice "drippage,' Hels! Which die cut did you use for those super cute flowers? They are yummy.

The flowers are grand, what Sizzix die did you use? Because I'm such a follower, I want to make some too! of course, mine will probably not turn out as lurvely as yours, my roses never do. Ah well. Must practice!
