Waxing Lyrical...

...well you know me... always one for a bit of a...*ahem* natter... and yesterday was just the perfect event for me to have an excuse to sit and waffle on alarmingly at poor, unsuspecting crafters. Yes, it was Stamperama and I got the opportunity to sit and play with Beeswax all day long for The Artistic Stamper and do some cool (or should that be hot!!) things with the old Melt Pot. The Sunday Stamper ATC has some lovely flowers on it... made in the same way as the Faux Porcelain technique but using Beeswax instead... and I actually prefer these roses - they are more vintagey.. so this is deffo a thing I will be doing again! I am a numpty ... I took my camera because I never get photo's of my demo pieces before I give them away... and managed to get right through til the end of the day forgetting said camera (which was in my apron pocket so I really had no excuse) and these are the only things I snapped... never mind... I will remember.. next time ROFL

Even more remarkable is the fact that... I didn't drop a single drip of Beeswax onto me!! I have had my fair share of run-in's with Beeswax, like the time I lifted the Melt Pot up while the Beeswax was still molten and gave my trousers an altering (believe me, it is the only time I have ever been grateful for being on the large side... cos... it would have been extremely painful if I didn't have my food baby belly ROFL) Anyways... I had a fab time, I have a bit of a sore throat this morning though... but it was great to see so many familiar faces and to meet up with new peeps too... isn't this crafty lark amazing... it makes the whole world smaller and a much better place to know that there are so many like minded peeps about... ahhh, I am getting all misty LOL Right, I have bags to unpack and stash to put back in its place so I better get a wiggle on....

Speaking of which... the Room of Stash is still amazingly tidy!!! I have a few projects on the go which are waiting to be finished but once those are done... it is going to be pristine again! Well, I have a very good excuse to keep it tidy don't I? What, I haven't mentioned already that Ellen is coming to stay in... TEN DAYS!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have promised her that I will make sure her desk is just ready and waiting to get playing... oh and I have promised to make a chocolate cake too... well, I do (even if I say so myself) make a rather scrummy choccy cake... and... I promised that if Ellen brings me a whole suitcase of Cheesy Chester Cheeto's that I would make her a cake... that is a very good deal I reckon... I would have the Chester Cheeto's over choccy cake anyday... which would you prefer though? Cake? Cheeto's? Or... both??? Anyways... time to stop... waxing lyrical... and get unpacked! Thanks for looking.. have a brrrilliant day!! TTFN

I love how the Beeswax ages everything, it's such a great look. It was lovely to see you yesterday, and I'm glad that you didn't have any mishaps! I like sweet and savoury, so I'd have Cheetos followed by a piece of cake, thanks! Judith xx

My goodness you still have the energy to blog after yesterday, you must be exhausted Hels! Love the waxy roses. I was brought by a dad who always had a piece of cheese with his fruit cake and it rather rubbed off on me, so I like both. But seeing as I am not allowed cheese at the moment I would have to say the chocolate cake for me please and anyway as you are so mean and wont let me try your Cheesto's I don't know if I like them or not!!!!
