Sunday Stampers - Week 132 - Wonderful Christmastime

Goodly Morning Stampers and happy Sunday to you all! Well, a week is a fast thing in the world of craft, so here we are, back at Sunday and a brand new theme for the challenge... which, in keeping with my song title link, sees us with another Christmas theme... well, I figured that we are all gearing up for Christmas and what with a certain Duke of Distress doing his 12 Tags... actually, I am well behind on mine - more of that later! So, to join in all you have to do is make something, include stamping and the theme... leave a comment for me here with a linky to the place you are showing your entry and I will pop on over to visit you. The challenge will close at 21:00 Saturday 11th December '10.

So... Christmas! For some reason, this year I am really behind on my Christmas crafting, like I am always well prepared and never leave anything to the last minute (much ROFL) I have made a wall decoration - this is the third year that I have done this... and the others were both Sunday Stamper entries, so it would have been rude not to! This is a wooden shadow box, painted with Picket Fence Cracklepaint and then Jenni Bowlin Chili Powder dabber, then spritzed with Chocolate Glimmer Mists.

The bits in the middle are mini canvases which are covered with papers and then inked with Distress Inks. I made a little wreath from teensy tinsel and added a gold bow - guess how long it took me to tie this little baby!! HOURS!!! Anyways... I then added some bits from the Seasonal Sticker pack, popping onto card to make it firmer and then covering with Rock Candy Crackle - as was the paper insert in the base... glooped with Rock Candy and then slapped with Rock Candy Stickles! All teckernical terms I have you know ROFL

So... the old Room of Stash looks sooooooo empty now that my partner in art has gone home. I have spent the last day moping (is that how moping is spelt? It just looks wrong!) about and feeling sorry for myself - and... you know I hate having my picture taken? And will avoid it at all costs? And if I see a camera I run for the hills? Well, I actually stood and allowed this one to be taken... fair enough, I have more chins that a chinese phone book but that can be worked on LMSO (I have heard airbrushing it relatively easy LOL) So, here we are, just after 6am on Friday morning... after only 4 hours sleep too... Ellen has a piccie on her blog too.. oh and one of her and her new hero Grim!

And... finally... I have got around to making my first 12 Tags of Christmas... I have got so behind already! I loved making this one but do not like the house I did - I embossed it the wrong way and cos I haven't got the die (Jennie donated this one) I was miffed I couldn't re-do it... ho hum, next time I will try harder LOL

Anyways... I have waffled on enough... what have you got planned for today AND are you enjoying the 12 tags as much as I will be tomorrow when I get chance to catch up??? Thank you for looking ... have a FAB day! TTFN

Two lovely pieces of art today! Creating them must have helped you get past the missing-Ellen moping. I think your house looks great considering you had no die to use. Great job. I hope you keep posting your take on Tim's tags.
