FIFTY ONE....

....days to GO!!!!! Oooh, I have been sooooo good keeping my trap shut for the past few weeks but I can contain myself no longer... in... .51 days... there won't just be a Hels in the Room of Stash... there will also be an Els. Oooooh, yes, indeedily, Ellen is coming all the way from America to come and stay with me... can I contain my excitement??? NOPE!!!! lol... I am beyond the bouncing around the house and screeching like a polecat stage... I have bypassed the jumping up and down and screaming like a banshee stage... I am now at the can hardly breathe and feeling ever so slightly dizzy stage... imagine what I will be like when she finally gets here!!!! *no, don't - that would be tooooo strange ROFL*

Anyways... I have taken a deep breath and am now feeling a bit calmer... ok, on a scale of 1-10, I am an 100 ... but... I got something to show you... Yesterday I had a FAB playdate at The Stamp Attic... and many thanks to Sue, Helen, Kay, Sally and Jenny for making the day such fun... we played with Grungepaper, Distress Inks, the 'Bug, Tim's Alterations... and made some layered books... I have already made two so I decided to use the biggest layer and make... erm... a hangy piece... just for a change like LOL I am entering this into the Simon Says Stamp & Show challenge this week which is numbers... I used lots of Distress Inks... erm... the colours... Wild Honey all over it... then Pine Needles on to the edges... and then Spiced Marmalade, and finally... Aged Mahogany... which I hasten to add, is my new fave colour, I am using it on everything at the moment! The stamps are from the Duke of Distress' collection and the little butterflies are stamped onto Grungepaper, coloured and then curled. The numbers just didn't pop off the piece though... so I used good old Glossy Accents to highlight them... I added some gold ribbon and a Bauble... have you got those new Baubles yet??? They are just sooooo cool!

Anyways... I had a major panic yesterday and this morning... my camera... got lost! I have a bit of a problem with remembering to take my camera to classes... to the point that so far I have taken it, forgotten to use it... I have taken it, remembered to use and had a flat battery... and last week, I took it but forgot to put the memory card in it... oooops... so... yesterday, smugness abounded... charged battery, card inserted... camera... erm... where was it??? Thankfully Wendy stepped in and took pics... I will get those off her and pop them on here asap :O))

So... it was all panic stations here... I searched everywhere, prayed to St. Anthony three times, asked Alfie (he can't speak but.. you never know!!) and thoroughly got myself sure that it was lost somewhere... when I just popped into the bedroom and there it was... whoooooops... I must have taken it in there when I was getting ready yesterday morning... so I would not forget to take it... you know, put the thing you don't want to forget right next to something you are going to use... not a chance I would forget that much lol... anyways... I got it now.. phew... panic over! I am so happy to see my camera I actually did think I would take a pic of it and show you how lovely it is... but... erm... that would be kinda hard... cos I couldn't take a pic of the thing that takes the pics... I think I should go and lay down awhile... all this excitement is making me even dafter than normal... *is that possible!!!* Anyways... Thank you for looking... are you having a goodly day? I am ... I am having a lovely goodly day and even better, my lovely Grim has the weekend off - yay, I get to see him!!! TTFN

Lovely piece of ART Hels, and I love those baubles, I got mine the other day too. Exciting news that your friend Ellen is coming over for a visit. I do that camera thing all time, place something with something I'm sure I won't forget then spend the next 40 minutes looking around for it. Have a good evening, Tracy Evans x

Your camera story was so familiar I felt like you were writing about ME, ha! You can change the camera to any essential item and retell the story and yup, that's me! Love your "distress fest" the colors are gorgeous, wish I could see the glossy shine!
