...oooh, well that would be telling wouldn't it :O)) Today is Monday.. hurrah and thrice, cos it means it is a brand new page on the Compendium of Curiosities Challenge... hosted, devised and co-ordinated by that ever so intelligent and rather loverly Linda - click on her name and you will be transported away to the US of A... or if you are already in the US of A... lucky you :O)) There are prizes to be won and it is rather fun indeedily, joining in with several million other crafters who are all using the same technique.
So... in keeping with the rest of my entries, I have made a tag... this one is using the techique *which I ain't gonna say what it is or how it is done... you will have to go and see Linda to find out :O))* I used Old Paper, Pumice Stone, Aged Mahogany and Black Soot DI's for colourations... stamping using Tim Holtz collection stamps... adding on some Film Strip, behind which I had popped some ickle photo's from the Lost & Found stack... hey, I neeeed a new one of those... I have used nearly all of it already LOL
The little roses were made using the 2" square snips in the Lost & Found stack... the medium sized Flower Power flower (from the Artistic Stamper) and glued together to make some...*pauses for breath* paaaaaaper rooooooseeees, paaaaaper rooooosessssss... Hoot hoot, good job you can't hear me singing... did I ever tell you that an ex of mine once kindly said that I sang like Les Dawson played the piano??? As Eric Morcambe once said... all the right notes, just not necessarily in the right order... ROFL
So, where was I??? Ah yes, paper roses... three of them... with an Idea-ology Ornate Plate which I painted with Trad Tan and then sanded... I boshed the brads with a texture hammer to make them look a bit oldey too. Lastly, a ticket, cut using the Alterations die... and one of those new Tim Holtz Ticket stamps... did I mention the gold signed set I have??? Oh, I did, ah, well, I won't bore you again ;O))
So, check out my little fella... it has been horrendous weather this afternoon... a fair deluge of rain, so AlfieCat decided to spend some time with his Mummy in her Room of Stash.. usually he will sleep on his bed which is just behind my chair... but today he flopped out on the floor. Grim came in for a chat and Alfie did his "roley over onto his back for Daddy" and promptly fell asleep... he can't possibly be comfy like this... I couldn't resist sharing it with you though... oh, ignore that yukky folder, that was hidden under the unit but has slid out... I have this very bad habit of stuffing stuff I don't want under desks, units, beds etc... does anyone else do that or is it just me being a lazy slut again??? ROFL Thanks for looking... am offski to cook some dinner now... fancy some Yorkshire Puds and grrrravy...mmmmm... TTFN

Oh wow stunning Tag and the stripe is perfect. So great photos. Amazing design hun. Love them.
Love this technique, and you nailed it, Hels! Love the colors you used, and of course the roses are scrummy. Aren't cats funny?! They sleep a lot, but when they're awake they can be pretty funny! lol!
Great tag, again and love the roses. Got so much to do this week, i.e. wedding card for a friend at work now on a deadline - not sure if I will get this challenge done.
Wow Hels another fab creation. By the way, I've written to Linda and told her you didn't really want the prize of the stamps, and told her it was me instead........ Haven't even got to the page yet for this weeks challenge....... oops better get reading. Annette x
Fab tag Hels - love that ticket stamp set from Tim and it's looks smashing on your tag!!!
That tag is another lovely Hels creation. Wait 'til you see my faux porcelain flowers - tomorrow maybe! Followed your instructions too.
Now that AlfieCat is something else. Looks just like my DH - can fall asleep anywhere!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh Hels lets hear you sing P l e a s e! Lovely work very clever, I like it very much. Thanks for the picture of Alfie, I hope he takes after his dad not his mum. x
Lovely work, Hels, as usual.
Your cat is just like mine, except mine does not have a collar.
Just been to the vet with his conjunctivitis...poor thing! Your cat looks full of beans.

Quite a beauty as usual. Love the colors you have chosen.
LOVE it!!!! in my best sing-song voice!!!!
Your tag is beautiful! I love all the Tim goodness going on. The film strip is awesome and the color combination and flowers look great!
I LOVE you cat pics, too...and your stories about them:)
Great tag Hels, really love the background colour and your Blended Batik really pops out from the tag, very effective. I also love your metal piece just below this, really effective and the background has great texture. My favourite though is the Sunday Stamper piece I love those birds, which I think should be called PINKY (to match your blog name sort of) and PERKY for the other LOL. (could be you and Grim). I have now completed my Sunday Stamper challenge piece and that is . Have a lovely evening. Tracy Evans x
Sorry Hels the last bit should have said my Sunday Stamper challenge piece is here. Tracy x

B-E-A-UUUU-tiful!!! Those paper roses... still love them... must get busy and try making my own... chat soon. Hugs, Els. xx
Stunning tag and I am sure that whatever fate has in store for all your tags it will be a creative masterpiece!
Loving Alfie, fung little guy! Our 2 cats are mad as hatters too, Casper was calling me out in the garden when it was lashing down to show me his "hunted gift"... not a bird or mouse as most cats bring home, oh no, nutty Casper has a fetish for silicone - the kind that is around your wondows, LOL one day I am sure I am going to hear one of the neighbours windows come crashing out of the frame because he has stipped all the silicone!! Mad cat!!
By the way, if you are a lazy slut then so am I, I share the same bad habit lol!!
Sarah x
Fab tag..as always :) Cute cat too!Mine's almost the same coloring except she's a very deep grey.
Hels, if you get any better at this stuff you're going to... I don't know... ascend right into the heavens? This is just SPECTACULAR!!! I think I said "WOW!" at least a dozen times already. Those great colors and awesome roses, the perfectly-enhanced film strip, the ticket and Ornate Plate.. oh! And your Blended Batik is perfection.
Alfie looks like any one of my kitties on any given day. I think they can find a way to be comfortable in virtually ANY position!
Fabulous tag!!!!
I am in awe of this tag! The photo belongs in a book. The technique is dreamy, think I'll give it a try tomorrow. Hugs to you and your handsome cat.

Love love the tag. I think you could write a book on gorgeous techniques yourself! Also thanks for sharing pics of Alfie. I always get a kick hearing about him. He should meet my Yoshi girl who is his twin I think and is also a contortionist! :) Nan
This is simply stunning! I love the colors you used! And your roses are the best! Can't you move to Wisconsin and live on my block. Nice home for sale around the corner.
Just beautiful Hels!
What a beautiful tag, its so gorgeous. Just love those ticket stamps and flowers.
Don't you just love the way cats go to sleep anywhere, AlfieCat looks a real character.
Sue
Hels, can I come live with you? (I think I've asked this before!) I want to snuggle with your kitty and make art with you and - best of all - enjoy your cooking! OMG, Yorkshire pudding; haven't had that in AGES. Yum. (See, we're not THAT lucky to live in the U.S. - we miss out on a lot of great stuff that you get to have every day!)
Oh, and your tag is FAB-U-LOUS!! (But by now we wouldn't expect anything less!) You really Tim-ed out on this one! I bought that same paper pack last night and have already used three pages. I understand needing another - maybe two more would be a good idea!
Now i dont know if its a case of the missing comment or a case of the forgetful minx.. either way i was sure i had left a comment.. anywho.. Tis stunning, i just love the colours you achieved, really delish, i really should learn to mix more inks x
Gorgeous tag Hels, love all the wonderful details!!!
BEAUTIFUL Tag, Hels!!
Always a delight to visit and check out your newest art! Perfect and wonderful again!

Gorgeous! love the deep reds and the flowers, too!
As usual, you have created a fab-u-lous tag Hels. Everything about it screams T.I.M.! *smiles* . . and of course with some Wendy.
