Cake & Chips...

... mmmm... cake! But first... chips! Not chippy chips though... today is Friday, which means that it is my DT day for Bubbly Funk... I played with some Distress Inks and Maya Road and Tando Creative Chipboard... and came up with this little wall hanging... To see how I made it... please click HERE :O))

So... I have been waffling on about the choccy cake that I made the other day... and I remembered to take some pics of it before it was scoffed... I am assuming it has been scoffed by now - it was for Andrea's daughter's 18th and I am sure that there won't be much left of it now! It has become a tradition that I make the birthday cake whenever it is one of my friends birthday's... you would think that they'd get bored with the same old cake - well not the same cake, I make a new one each time, otherwise there would be a bit of a... erm... mould issue ROFL... but it is a little bit tasty, even if I do say so myself LOL

So... the cake... covered in choccy icing (frosting for my American pals) and then a Cadbury's Flake or two... and some Caramel Nibbles... have you tried these yet??? They are like a chocolate Button...with attitude! They have a slice of caramel in the middle...and are very very very more-ish... to the point that I didn't use a full bag on the cake... so it would have been rude not to eat the few that were left over... I am paying the price of it today though...I have woken up with the most enormous zit on my chin *oh, I am soooo tempted to squeeze it but I am being good and ignoring it... thing is, it's soooo big that no one else could possibly ignore it ROFL*

Another thank you for all the lovely comments on the WOYWW post from...erm... Wednesday... I am planning a marathon *not the choccy bar that was called Marathon and then for some reason changed it's name to Snickers... does anyone know why they did this???* ... where was I? See, I am off on a tangent again LOL Ah, yes, I am planning an enormously huge blog hop this afternoon cos I want to visit everyone's desks... it is lovely to be go and see friends and family in the real world... but it sometimes really takes over my blogging life ROFL Anyways... thanks for looking... and... have a goodly day! TTFN

Beautiful hanging Hels, great colours :)
If I remember right, they changed the name to snikers because Foreign visitors didn't recognise marathon....we was the only country that called it marathon so we had to change :)
*hugs* Heather x

Oooh, that cake looks very scrummy and VERY NAUGHTY too! Love the hanging piece too with the lovely bright colours.

Heather's right about the Marathon bars. They are my faves so I was rather miffed when they changed the name even though the contents were the same, Lol.

My Craft Stamper just plopped on the doormat and I am looking at your fabby frontpage creation. Well done, it's beautiful. Off for a good read now to find out how to make it!

It is a big zit day for me too!Well in fact two, next too each other, and yes I did squeeze them because I was going out to friends and I knew all they would do is look at my chin, so they had to go! That cake looks extra gorgeous, you know it is my birthday soon! (although at my age I am not sure I want to be reminded). Art work wonderbar as always, love that birdy. A thought,(yes I do have them) have you tried putting a bell on Alfie's collar too stop him getting those birds

Mmmmm the cake looks yummy as does the chip. I heard the reason they changed Marathon to Snickers was something to do with the fact that it was called Snickers in the US though I'm not sure why that would make a difference :-/
