And Now...

...for Something Completely Different & Lots To Do challenges this week.... a tag! For a change LOL The SCD theme this month is actually TAGS... and the LTD theme is CROWNS... so I got a little bit messy with some Distress Inks and some Idea-ology stuff.

The little FilmStrip was made using little stamped images from Tim Holtz's collection... the flower is a pile of book pages cut thru on the Tattered Florals Alteration Die... and coloured with more DI's.. the background was made by squishing several colours of DI's on to the craft sheet, spritzing with water and dipping the tag in the mix until I had the look I liked.

So... yesterday afternoon I stepped outside into the garden, as you do... to see... erm... a headless pigeon ... don't worry, it wasn't flying or anything... nope, it was... deceased... down by the fence... and AlfieCat was nowhere to be seen. So, who was the culprit, was it Alfie, the mild mannered Mummy's Boy? Or was it Foxes, the stray gingertom with the big..erm...nuts? (LOL) I had to believe that my AlfieCat would never catch a pigeon, I mean, they are big and flappy and he is...a bit flabby... However, when I called out for him to come in for his tea-tea's... it was one of those moments when you wish you had a video camera set up... he sneaked in thru the hole in the fence (it is like a mouse hole but cat sized) and he turned his head away from said deceased pigeon, walked the long way around the garden to get to the backdoor and kept his eyes well and truly averted... didn't look, sniff or anything...which can only mean one thing....guilty!!! Honestly, he has been an outdoor cat for about 6 weeks now... and so far he has had two blackbirds, a mouse/rat (not sure as it was a baby), a pigeon... let alone what else he has been catching while he is in the Spinney! Anyways... am off to get more inky and more messy for the Sunday Stamper tomorrow...ooooh, cannot wait to show you the new theme... I reckon it will appeal to loads of peeps :O)) Have a fabby Saturday! TTFN

Me thinks thou cat hath discovered a new calling!!! Just think what the toll would be had he always been an outdoor cat!! LOL I love your tag. I just the intensity of the color you get with your distress inks. I am going to have to try harder to really saturate whatever I am coloring... Can't wait for tomorrow and NO, I have not yet figured out how to subscribe to this blog but I am not going to miss Sunday anyway!!

Lovely work Hels. That Alfie cat is going to need worming for sure after eating that lot. How is the garden growing now? Have you noticed any less midges since the demise of the trees?

Love the tag Hels. My little baby has progressed to Magpie status now...Fortunately dead in the front garden. Better than the half alive baby blackbird I found in my kitchen, x
