WOYWW & WIP...

...today is Wednesday which means that it is WOYWW... lots of peeps follow Julia's lead and show off their crafting space and, in my case, messy desks :O))

Lots of stuff on there today, WIP's with the Melt Pot and fancy napkins...and the general mess I usually work amongst LOL Ohhhh, and also on there is a fabby package of luvly stuff that Annette sent for me play with! Please keep everything crossed for my AlfieCat today, he is having his toothy operation and I am sitting here worrying about him...bless him ... Have a good day peeps

Hels x

**EDIT @ 17.30**

Thank you EVERYONE for being so lovely about my AlfieCat...phew, he is home...bless him, he is a bit groggy, he had to have two toothypegs out..and also had a scale and polish ..and...get this..on the leaflet that the *whispers so he doesn't hear me* V E T gave me...it says to ... honestly, this is not a joke...it says to brush his teeth daily to prevent build up again ROFLMAO...erm...he is a cat..how on earth am I supposed to brush his teeth without ending up in A&E myself ...not that he is vicious...but putting your hand into a cats mouth is not advisable! Anyways...he has had half a tin of tuna...woofed it back and is asking for more but I am not giving in...don't want him to be ickky.
I have got one joke for you all though....I know I am a little...erm...heavy...and need to lose weight...so .. how do you loose 88 pounds in one day? Get your cat to have his teeth out LOL Worth every penny though just knowing he is ok now...aw...you see, I am such a big softy! Thanks everyone...I can go and craft now...have been mooching about all day and not concentrating on anything! TTFN xx

Love your desk today....I see an iron. Do show and tell what you do with it cos it appears to be a crafting one [believe me when I say I wouldn't have shown interest in any other sort of iron :-)]

I'd love to get in here and have rootle around - you'd have to check my pockets on the way out tho Hels! I'm always fascinated to see how you work. It doesn't look messy to me at all .... she says, hanging her head in shame ... Lol.
Good luck for your pusscats op. I do hope he comes home smiling x

I bet your melt pot works. I've just accumulated all the ingredients for amazing melt pot inventions, and mine has packed in after only 2 uses!! I am fuming. Anyway, back to important matters. Gorgeous Alfie will do just fine so make sure he has plenty of food 'cos he will eat for England after today. xx

I could sit right down at your desk and just have so much fun! I took a closer look and see that you have some of those Claudine Hellmuth paints. I haven't bought any of those. Were they a good purchase?

I will be thinking good thoughts for your AlfieCat today Hels eeeeeeeeee.

Good luck for Alfie, I always worry so much when my cat Buzz has to go to the vet. They just want a quiet life, and this is such an upheaval for them. I'm sure he'll be back to normal in a day or two. Understanding your concern, hugs Judith x

Alfie will be fine the stuff vets use these days is so good but I can understand you worrying.
I could do with the stand you have for Claudine's paints mine keep falling down the back of the desk.

ooow I spy a craft iron ...think I've seen TH using one ...cant remember what for.

Glad your Alfie is fine ...you got away lightly ...nearly 200 for ONE extraction ...when the vet saw my face and saw how many cats we had ... over half rescued in one way or other .... he put it down as a polish and scale which was 100...still fat too much.

I think he may have suggested tooth cleaning ...I thought 'forget it' and forgot it LOL

Always been fascinated by melting pots- first one I've seen in my WOyWW travels! Juliex

Your desk isn't as crowded as mine,(mine needs a Spring clean again). Though you still don't seem to have much room left to play Hels lol, it still looks very inviting.
I'm glad your AlfieCat is home again. As for brushing a cat's teeth!!! well all I can say is "better you than me".
Do they still sell chain mail body suits Knights used to wear? You could be doing with this. ROFL
No matter how good natured your kittie may be they don't like their mouths being opened for any reason... medication, or teeth cleaning, and bath time is another no-no. Their wee soft paws and teeth are very jaggy, if riled.
I wonder if cats can get anything similar to or like the chewy treats for cleaning dogs teeth? Obviously this would only do after his mouth feels better. I hope that's very soon.
hugs
Alexandra

well Hels am pleased that Alfie, bless him is ok and your 88LBS lighter LOL you should try a dog then you usually end up a few hundred pounds lighter with that one, give Alfie a cuddle for me xx

Hels your table looks far more interesting than mine...I want to come over for a mooch...
So glad your cat's home and on the mend...not sure if I would like the task of cleaning teeth, mine hate having a rub down with a wipe....I tried bathing Pepsi once....never again, still have the scares...lol

Hi Hels, i'm a bit slow getting round everyone today so have only read your blog post-alfie cat having had his dentistry - and thankfully successfully.

thanks so much for your lovely comments on my blog in the past two WOYWWs anyway - wasn't around to read the comments last week but awwww so lovely for people to bother - i'm so lucky and it makes me all squidgy. Anyroad, your alfiecat was far more important than a desk or crafting today - you'll be able to do it with gusto tomorrow. I think there are enough of us crafters with cats that we could set up like a new branch of our blogs dedicated to our feline friends. Paper Princess, and Penni are two that immediately spring to mind and visit them for a fix especially!!!

let us have more pics of alfiecat and i'll try and get some of my girls.

tartar control treats are as close as I can get to dental care for my cats. I mean, I'm not a super hero, common.

Hi Hels
Thanks for visiting me - I'm glad all went well for your little man today. I must admit, that as a vet I don't brush my own cat's teeth so could hardly recommend anyone else to do it. My little man would probably let me, but my beautiful girl (who sadly left us 5wks ago) would have taken my hand off!
Give him a hug from me!

Esme xx

Bit late to the party today, but glad Alfie cat is back home and doing well. Wonder if you can get him something to chew on? Over here they have some "special" dog bones that clear off the teeth at the same time! Better than being scratched to death!!
