Birthdays & Beeswax

...Today is a special day for The Gingersnap Creations group...it is their first birthday...and I am incredibly proud to be a part of this fab group and also the Design Team. Shar and Ali put together the group and it has gone from strength to strength over the past year. If you would like to join in with the Yahoo group, please click HERE and you will be transported to the right place to register :O) Also, it would be very remiss of me not to say...Happy St David's Day to everyone in Wales or who is Welsh. My Gran was Welsh so that makes me part Welsh, which means that I am allowed to cheer on Wales in the rugby ('cept when they are playing England of course LOL)

So with all that waffle out of the way...today's piece of art is all about Beeswax again...and...hurrah and thrice! For the first time ever, I managed to use the Melt Pot without burning, dripping, blistering or damaging myself or my clothing ROFL I used a little wooden base 4" square and some acrylic paints to colour it...then added some tissue papers which I had stamped some Artistic Outpost images onto (oh, and yes, the AO are helping the Gingersnaps celebrate their birthday - shoulda mentioned that sooner!)

I will be back later with news about yesterday at Stevenage...some of the lovely ladies who took part in the Make & Take asked me to write down the instructions with some pics...

I adore this, Hels! I spotted it on GSC before I saw your name under it and was already drooling.

Glad you have given up saving money on bikini waxing!

Great job! Glad you got through without injuries! I've caused some to myself, too!

I must have a go at beeswax, although given my cramped working conditions (see my WOYWW posts) it may not be very wise... Looks great, lovely colours too.

This is sooo pretty Hels. I could definitely do with a couple of classes using beeswax!

My friend Judith was at Stevenage yesterday (lucky girl) and did your make and take. I love her faux porcelain rose brooch which she posted on her blog. I hope those are the instructions you're going to post.

Hugs

I hear your class was so popular some ladies didnt even get a chance to play. I hear you really drew a crowd, but didn't surprise me a bit!
