Sunday Stampers - Week 90 - The Rose

Morning Stampers...many thanks for all your lovely entries last week...without further ado, here is the winner, chosen at random (usual way, assigned a number for your comment and then Random.Org it...and #12 came out) which is....

Diane W - Congrats to you and please can you mail me your addy so I can pop your stamps into the post!

My Mojo went off on a Winter break this week...I had no inclination to go into the Room of Stash...I had considered calling a medic cos this is totally out of character for me...but it came home yesterday morning *phew* which meant I could make something for this weeks challenge...which is ROSES. How you choose to interpret the challenge is up to you, you can make some 3d roses using grungepaper, cardstock etc and stamp onto them...or you could stamp images of roses...or you could do some stamping and add paper roses...the choice is yours...entry is as easy as usual, incorporate the theme and add some stamping, making anything you fancy. Once you have made your entry, please pop back and leave me a comment here so I can hop on over to visit you. The challenge will be open until 23:00 Saturday Feb 13th. I chose this theme this week because for some reason this song has been haunting me all week, my singing is nothing special **OK, it is pretty dire...** but I cannot help warbling away ... so on one of the pieces I made, I incorporated part of the lyric.

Another hangy thing kicks off my entries...using a page from a Maya Road book as a base and adding Distress Inks to colour. Then using a large Maya Road frame which I then added the lyric behind...making roses using the Dimensional Rose Art stamp from Studio 490...stamping onto Claudine Hellmuth Sticky Back Canvas and adding more DI's and then a bit of metal behind to give the petals a bit of ooomph...(is that how that is spelt I wonder????) Finally, I added some little Trinket Pins for leaves....also Maya Road!

The second project started off as just a few ATC's using DI's and Studio 490 stamps...and kinda grew....to the point that I ended up making 5 and linking them all together...they started off as Maya Road chip too and I won't bore you with all the pics of it today...it will give me something else to blog tomorrow too ROFL

This ATC was made using more of my fave Wendy Vecchi stamps...and DI's, Distress Stickles and Grungepaper for the rose. All of the products used today are readily available from The Stamp Attic...go on, you know you want a treat...and....the new Studio 490 stamps are available for pre-order, as is Wendy Vecchi's new book...cannot wait to get my mits on them LOL

Thanks for looking...have a great week...

Hels x

You just broke my dream! Yesterday I was shown some amazing books made page by page by crafters from all over the world. I thought, I could make an ATC book for my swapping buddies (I have 5) plus 1 for general swapping. Did you read my dreams last night or did I foresee your work? mmmmmm!! Whichever, I love them. x

Totally blown away this week by your works of art. The gorgeous bright and sunny roses 'hangy' but I have to say that your atc's have totally knocked my socks off - so much so that I am going to HAVE to have a go at them and make my very first flowers. I ordered the grunge paper especially and it arrived yesterday.
