Little Books for Notes

Morning Peeps,

A while back, actually nearly five months ago, I made a couple of note books, using my Bind It All, for a swap I was involved in. I took photo's of the books, popped them into my computer and then forgot all about them. I happened across the pics tonight and thought I would pop them on here.

Book 1 Front & Inside

Both books are made using the same materials and methods but each is unique as I will never be able to make them exactly the same again. Mainly 'cos the paper that I used for the note pages has been used up LOL

Book 1 Back & Inside

The covers are made from mountboard, covered with Rustic Gem papers and then decorated with inks and stamps.

Book 1 Inside Front

The pages are made from some Prima booklet papers which I just aged using Walnut Stain Distress Inks.

Book 2 Front & Inside

The embellishments are from the Tim Holtz Idea-ology range, including clips, spinners, tags and little door knobs and the tickets, also from the Idea-ology range have been altered using Distress Inks, stamps and embossing powders.

The stamps are a selection by Lost Coast Designs, Tim Holtz Collection by Stampers Anon and Catslife Press.

Book 2 Back & Inside

I used several techniques throughout the books, including masking, colouring images using watercolours, distressing with water, distressing with sandpaper, embossing using Distress Embossing powders and highlighting images using Glossy Accents.

Book 2 Inside Back

My favourite bits of the books are the little Idea-ology tickets that I altered, they are quite small to work with so just using part of a stamped image was fun :O)) My favouritest one of the tickets is the "Little Darling" stamp of the chubby smiley girl - I love this stamp (it is one of the Tim range) and I really love the colours that I achieved - I am pretty sure I will have used Mustard Seed, Spiced Marmalade and Fired Brick Distress Inks to get this blend.

Tickets from both books

That's all from me for now - I have shocked you haven't I? Go on, admit it....I usually sit here waffling away about the way I have made stuff but I have to be honest, it is so long ago since these little books were created my memory is a little rusty LOL The Idea-ology range, distress inks and embossing powders can be found at The Artistic Stamper.

Thanks for looking - have a good day everyone :O))
