It is "that" time of year again!!

Hello...again!!

Yes, it is "that" time of year again when I have to start thinking about all things Christmassy. I have not really begun to think about my Christmas crafting and save for a few cards I have made, I am hideously behind on all my ATC and Fat Page lists....probably because all I seem to be doing at the moment is altering stuff!!

Here are a few piccies of the Fat Pages I have made so far and also a piccie of the ATC design I have used for my list on CraftSwap Forum.

Fat Pages

I have used the same technique for these pages. All are on mountboard, which is fab to work on as it is so thick, when it gets wet, it does not bend like card does. I used Adirondack inkpads in Cranberry, Butterscotch and Rust colours. Firstly, I took a wet babywipe and smudged the whole of the page with Butterscotch ink. Whilst this was still wet, I used another babywipe to smudge Rust ink around the edges and a little towards the centre of the page and finally, another babywipe to smudge the Cranberry ink just on the very edges of the page. I blended all the colours with a clean babywipe and then spritzed the whole lot with water and immediately dried with my heat gun. This base was then perfect for stamping onto. I used stamps from the Tim Holtz unmounted collections and also .... my limited edition Tim stamp from 2006. I was so excited to be able to buy this on eBay a couple of weeks ago...I have not been able to find it anywhere in the UK so I had to look across the pond to find it. Lucky me! ;O)) Once I had stamped the images, either in black or Cranberry, I then used UTEE and layered on the embossing until it was more or less smooth. I sprinkled Enchanted Gold powders round the edges of the pages whilst the embossing powders were still hot to achieve a gilded look. An eyelet, a bit of co-ordinating fibre and edging in Copper Krylon finished the pages off.

I still have about 20 more to make !! So watch this space!!

A Happy Christmouse ATC

Aw, these little House Mouse stamps are so sweet and endearing aren't they? I love this little fella in his Santa hat and just had to give him a home here in my craft room :O))

For the ATCs, of which there are twenty on the list, I used thick white card as the base and then stuck some ripped Xmassy paper by K & Co to the top and bottom. I stamped the little mouse onto a separate piece of card that I had pre-cut to 1 1/2" x 2" . To get the different colours right for the image, I used MarvyLePlume pens in Carmine Red and Brown. I then used Liquid Applique to edge his hat and add the pom-pom and heated it with my heatgun...this puffs the applique up to give a raised feel to it. I then matted the card onto some red mirri card and added a message mat at the bottom of the ATC. A piece of golden ribbon, stapled on and edging in Copper Krylon pen finished the ATC off nicely.

As I had so many to make, I made all the designs the same...
Thanks for looking
