Sitting Here...Thinking of You....

Hey Peeps,

These cute cards are on a roll at the moment and here is another I have just made...this time using some Cosmo Cricket papers which I have been stroking for far too long...and now they are all cut up and used!

The sketch for the layout on the card is from a card I found on Minxy's cute blog...so can't take the credit for the design....I used Gretel Cosmo papers, faux stitching rub-on's, a Whiff of Joy image, coloured with Copics, flowers by Prima, scrolls by CriCut and sentiment by Magnolia. Oh and I used Old Paper Distress Ink to blend around the edges of the main pieces.

I love the colours on this card and think it is one of my favest evers I have made!

Thanks for looking...have a great day ...

GingerSnappers Challenge #16 - Ribbons

Cor blimey!

Two posts in one day!

Another fabulous challenge from the GingerSnappers, which was to use ribbons on your artwork. Well, I used one ribbon...which I hope will be allowed :O)) and I also used some gorgeously scrummy lace to go with the ribbon. I hasten to add I am only just in time to get this one in as it closes on 15th Aug.....phew!

The card is a massive one, so plenty of room for me to get overembellishing...I used a Whiff of Joy image, coloured with Copics and then cut out with a Nestie. The papers are by KaiserCraft...oh boy, are they heavenly or what? I just love black and white together but wanted to add a little colour, so after seeing my Prima Hydrangeas looking all sad and neglected in the flower drawer (yes, I have a drawer for my flowers...a big one at that ... actually, it is two drawers...only so they don't get crushed tho....LOL) I hit on the monochrome with a "hint" idea.

There is a lot going on on this card and I hope that it isn't too embellished but you know me...I have to always go OTT! Opinions will be greatly appreciated!

Anyways, I hope that it is ok for the GingerSnappers challenge....and thanks for looking....am off to fiddle with some more bits of paper and card now :O))

Basic Grey Challenge Sketch #1

Hey Peeps,

The Basic Grey Challenge is back!! This is a sketch by Tara G and my interpretation of it:

The papers are by Basic Grey - just look at those lush colours...am so loving oranges this summer! The little girly is a Whiff of Joy stamp and I coloured her with ProMarkers and then cut out using a Nestie.

I used some antique lace instead of ribbon cos the only ribbon I had is bright orange and it looked well rough LOL and I know the sentiment is the wrong way round but I just got this stamp last week and couldn't wait to use it!

The flowers are made up of a couple of paper ones and then one I punched from the paper set, adding a few leafy things behind and a paper rose to the centre. I used a little flower headed pin threaded with some ancient beads to pop behind the flower embellishment and used a Martha Stewart border punch for the strip down the card...and stuck it down the wrong way round so it isn't really visible....dur!

Thanks for looking and hope you have a great day!
