Goooodly Morning Stampers and a very happy Sunday to you all. Big thanks for your entries for last weeks challenge... everyone was lurving the purple theme! This week is a nice easy week in honour of the special day it is today... Father's Day here in the UK... so the theme is... GUYS. To join in is simples: make a little something, it can be anything you fancy. Add in the theme and some stamping and then pop back here, leave me a comment with a link to the place you are showing your entry. If you haven't got a blog, no probs, you can also join in via emailing me or on Facebook (just tag me in your post and I will be able to hop and visit) The theme will remain open until 21:00 Saturday 22nd June 2013.
This week my entry has actually been made by the honorable Lord Alfonseroy of Sheridan! Yes, he got Ink On His Paws indeedily. First off I cut him some cardstock to fit the background stamp which is an ancient woody from Tim Holtz Stampers Anon (think this was from his very first release) I loves this stamp and haven't used it for a yonk so Alf decided it needed an inking. Next, I used Distress Inks (chosen by Alf) and blended them for him... he wanted to help so chewed the end of a paintbrush for me... *yes, indeedily, my marbles have been lost*
One of my fabby birthday pressies is the new Remnant Rubs.. thank you Sue for these... I LOVES them muchly. Now, I had a bit of a "do" with some rub-ons a few years ago.. namely, I spent a fortune on them, tried to get them to stick to the thing I was rubbing them onto and they failed to release from the plastic... so they went into the bin and I have, since, poured scorn on every other rub-on I have encountered... I am happy to say that these are FAB... like seriously fab... so detailed and dead simple to use... and they stick to an inked surface too... HURRAH GO TIM!! Next Alf tells me he wants to use the rub-on's on one of the new Idea-ology enamel tag thingy's cos he has seen his Uncle Tim doing that.... Alf, you see, is up on all the latest techniques! And then, he got some canvas and told me to make a belt to go with the new Idea-ology Buckles. Sir Knickerless was stamped onto card and coloured with DI's and a waterbrush... another thing for Alf to chew. The funniest thing is that he really was sitting on my desk whilst all this activity was going on! Anyways... as it is a Father's Day card for his daddy, he wanted me to add the letters... and then promptly beggared off with the A... good job I have another! I am scheduling this post for a little later than normal so Alfonse has chance to give his Daddy his card before Daddy sees this post... if that makes sense?
So, whatcha got planned for today? We, sadly, have to go to the Mobile Phone Shop today... because my brand new swizzy phone is not working properly (insert MEGA sad face) Hopefully they will be able to sort it out .... it keeps locking up and is sooooo slow. After that, we plan a day sorting out the garden a bit (weather permitting) and yep, the Room of Stash is STILL a pigsty... no, I didn't get time to tidy it yesterday what with helping Alfonse and the power cut we had last night. Why is it that for a whole hour and a half that it was off, I kept coming up with ideas for things to do... and everything needs electricity... like "I will get the ironing done.... " Or "I will do some heat setting of that texture paste I just spread onto a canvas...." Doh! And on that brainy bombshell... I shall say, have a great day! Thanks for looking... TTFN

My cards are too 'ordinary' for your challenge but I'll look forward to seeing any entries. I just can't seem to do 'shabby chic' stuff at all!

Hello Hels & Sir Alfonso of Sheridan
Firstly, sorry I have missed a few posts but with father in hospital & staying with mother, all a bit out of touch...
Anyway, on a brighter note.... Love love love the gift Alfie made, he is super talented, I wouldn't be surprised if he's asked to demo on the telly... Yep, mark my words?! What a super idea he had about the belt; genius! Lol
I don't have many masculine stamps apart from TH man with umbrella that EVERYONE uses. Also all my stash is chez moi. We'll see.. I did do a Purple theme make but didn't get chance to send :(
Terrific post, did make I laugh...
Hope your phone got sorted (mine tells me it needs charging 2 mins after being fully charged, pesky thing).
Hope to catch up a bit more tomorrow
Take care :))
ps: not sure how but have saved enough for a melt pot!! Yippee :)
wonderful piece Hels - I've added my Tims tags for this week - its a bit of a cop out I know but it had to be done - its kinda masculine I think! Hugs http://www.fisherscardsandcrafts.blogspot.co.uk/2013/06/tims-tags-june-2013-and-wow-workshop.html

Oh Hels. Here I am scrapping in at the last with something which at least I'm proud of. Your projects are always so spot on it doesn't feel right to just enter any old thing to match the theme. You are always a constant source of inspiration as I know you understand the 'science of Distress' and make magic happen when you use the products. I hope you keep on doing your thing for a very long time. Have a super Sunday. Hugs, Jenny x
