A Simple Sample...

...cor blimey and thrice!  Where did yesterday go huh?  I had my day all planned out, you know, do a bit of the "H" word and then come and chat here and then laze about... actually what happened was I did the "H" word and then promptly nodded off on the sofa... for two hours!   Eeek!   Anyways... better late than never.... this is my class sample from my class on Sunday at Crafty Bunch in Telford.  This is the third time I have taught this class there... and it has been great to get everyone excited about the Melt Pot.  Oh which reminds me, in case you missed it... scroll down to the Sunday Stamper post below... there's a giveaway to be had from Ranger as part of their Melt Art Mania event.  **Please Note:  to be in with a chance of winning the prize on the Sunday Stamper, all you need to do is leave me a comment on that post.  You don't need to email me or Ranger.... one comment = one entryIf you also join in, you will be entered twice.  Really, it is that easy!  Also, if you don't leave a comment and do email me, I cannot add you into the draw as it is not fair on the way the draw is made.  Please read the info on the Sunday Stamper post for clarifications.  Thanks!**

Anyways, on with the sample... and... here it is... lots of cool (or hot!) Melt Pot techniques including Beeswax collaging, moulds, Texture Treads, pouring UTEE into frames... and all the lovely ladies who have been on these classes have all really enjoyed themselves and also... which is most important to me... have got their Mojo's rared up and revving to play with the Melt Pot.   All in all, I have taught this class so much, it is now in double figures!  So that means there are lots of peeps out there now getting hot with their Pots!  Which makes me... HAPPY!

If you have a Melt Pot and have used it once and then bunged it in a cupboard - yep, I did the self same thing when I got mine - get it out... take it out of its packaging cos I know there are many crafters out there who have got one and now can't think what to do with it.  First thing to do is clear your worktop and make sure you have a craft sheet to work on.  Fire up the Pot and pop some UTEE into it!  Then... play... tis as simple as that.  The thing to remember about using your Melt Pot is that YOU are the boss... not the Pot... you are in charge and if you make something and you think it looks pants, pop it back into the Pot and re-melt it!  Simple as that.... really!  Like I said.. play, experiment, try things out... tis fun!!!   Also, head on over to Ranger's blog to see all the other fabulous creations made by the designers taking part in the Melt Art Mania... you can find deets HERE.   And while you are on your travels... pop Suze Weinberg's name into YouTube... she is the undisputed Queen of the Melt Pot and I have learnt SO much from her over the years.... so... whatcha waiting for??? GO FOR IT!!!!    I shall away now, I have a Room of Trash to sort out today!  I may be sometime!!!   Thanks for looking... TTFN

Wow Hels this is stunning. So much going on. Love the mixture of different textures and shapes. I love my melt pot, but have never used wax in it. Are the flowers made of wax? Love it all. Don't you just hate that when the day runs away with you! Have a great day hugs Debbie R xx
