Goooodly Morning Stampers and a very happy Sunday to you all. Many thanks for all your flying creations last week. This week, well, I had to didn't I? Being as I am at CHA in California! So, the theme this week is... DREAM. To join in is simples: make a little something, it can be anything you fancy. Add in the theme and some stamping and then hop back here with a link to the place you are showing your entry. If you don't have a blog, you can email me a photo, join in via Facebook or use a web hosty photo site. The challenge will remain open until 21:00 Saturday 19th January 2013.
My entry this week is a tag - a big one - size 10 is this one. I started off by chopping off the bottom of the tag and then layering some old book pages randomly onto it. I then used the scraped paint method and added some Sand coloured paint. Have you seen Wendy Vecchi's new CHA releases yet? She has brought out some gold Embossing Paste! Because I am impatient, I decided to try and make my own... I mixed some Gold Dabber paint with White Embossing Paste and hey, it looks fab... not as texturey as the real gold one but a substitute that did ok for my tag here.
I then added some Distress inking... using Bundled Sage, Tumbled Glass and Pumice Stone with a smidge of Broken China thrown in for goodly measures. I did the spritz and flick technique to add some bleached spots that showed the paint again. Next came some stamping for the background - using Aquamarine Archival and a Studio 490 flourish stamp and then I added a good thick coat of Rock Candy Cracklepaint over the top of the texture pattern.
I added a dictionary page to a piece of Clearly For Art and stamped some Studio 490 flowers onto it... and also a few butterflies too. I used Distress Ink to colour them and then heated them up to make them pliable and formed them into the shapes I wanted. By now the Rock Candy was crackled so I added some Treasure Gold into the crackles to make them pop a bit.
I added a heap of embellies to the tag to finish it off and used some little triangle jumprings, that I have had for 209 years and never used, to hang the bottom bit of the tag. The letters are die cut using the Alterations Word Play die, coated with black Embossing Paste and then once they were dry, I added some more Treasure Gold so the peaks are gilded.
So. Because of the time difference, I have just got back from the first day at CHA... and I have some photo's to show you all... so what I have done is made a little post behind this one for you to see them :O)) As ever, thanks for looking! TTFN

I love not only your art, but your writing as well. It never fails to make me laugh. You could be a comedy writer if you ever wanted to change creative fields.
A couple of times I have made things for your challenges only to discover there was no stamping on them. This one gets in by the hair of its teeth...I stamped the words above dream. Hope CHA is tons of fun!! http://fromthefunroom-adventuresinartscrafts.blogspot.com/2013/01/paying-it-forward-1.html

Hi Hels
Loved the idea of the theme this week but couldn't find anything in my craftroom that would tie in with 'Dreams'. Then I came across this and thought that this is what I probably look like after having a scary dream. Here is my entry http://wishfulthinkings-hayley.blogspot.co.uk/2013/01/back-again.html
