...490 Embossing Paste! *I sang that to you you know... yes, ZZTop I am not but I used their tune anyway lol* Anyways! I think you will be seeing a few more things that have been made by moi using my new favest product in the world *Said in my Jeremy Clarkson voice* Yes, the gorgeousness that is Studio 490 Embossing Paste is addictive... as are the Studio 490 Stencils For Art... especially the daisy one, which is my favouritest too. This is another "middle of the night" tag. I don't know why but I just cannot seem to sleep properly at the moment (of course, it isn't anything to do with the fact that I am going to America in TWO days.... teeheeeee) Anyways, I went to bed, I read a bit, I tried to sleep - AlfieCat even came to sleep on my pillow to purr me to sleep but still I couldn't get to sleep. So, I thought "what the heck, get up, have coffee, play in Room of Stash" Which is exactly what I did.
Now, you will all think I am fibbing but... yesterday after I had finished making my tag (blogged yesterday) I put all the stuff I had been using away, back into their homes, tidy like. And last night I got them all out again and played again. Although it looks like I have used the same stuff... well, I have... I just tidied ... I did! Honest! The base of the tag had a collage of torn book pages (thanks Ellen for that idea) and then I used Sand Eco Paint and a palette knife to introduce some paint over the top of the bookpages in a random fashion. Thing is, towards the end of the creative process I realised I had obliterated the book text... so it is only adding a bit of texture now lol
I then got the gorgeous flower Stencils For Art and spread some black Embossing Paste over... and then I got the wordy Stencils For Art and picked out the word Vintage and used Ferro to push thru the stencil... the colour is Eisen and I love it, sort of browny goldy metallicky (fabulous use of the English language there!) Once the texture pastes were dry, I blended Bundled Sage, Broken China and Iced Spruce DI's over the tag to add colour and flicked it with water to add bleachy spots. Next I added smidges of my newest addition to the Room of Stash; Royal Amethyst and Rose Quartz Treasure Gold from Paper Artsy (I got ££ for Xmas so spended it wisely :O)) applying the wax with a brush and blending it with my inky binky cloth. I added smidges of the wax over the textured bits and then slapped a good coat of Rock Candy Crackle over the top. Once this had dried, I spritzed the tag with Black Marble Dylusions and blotted off the excess so the black is just sunked into the crackles. The finishing touch is the little Embellish Your Art flower... this started life as candy pink in colour and it was too bright for the tag, so I popped some Rose Quartz onto it to tone it in. Et voila, a middle of the night tag!
Right, I shall loves ya and leaves ya... I have a lovely day ahead, Caz is coming over for a playdate... the Room of Stash is spotless and I am sure she will attest to this later when she no doubt blogs whatever we have made... and no, I won't be paying her to say it is tidy lol Mind you, both Grim and Caz's hubby think that by the end of the day the Room of Stash will be trashed... ah, what do they know... eh?? Really? Ermmm... yes, they probably have a point lol Thanks for looking.... TTFN!
P.S.... TWO days... to ... CHA!!!!
