Gooooodly Morning Stampers and a very happy, frosty, chilly... ok downright freeeezing Sunday to you all! As ever, many thanks for all your gorgeous vintage creations last week, I have decided that vintage is my fave styleee ever and your entries were as inspirational as ever. This week I am running a smidge behind schedule (more of that in a mo) but it is time to tell you the theme... which is.... TAGS! Oh yesh, for the 461 years that the Sunday Stamper has been running, I have never had this theme! Why not? Well, I could never think of a suitable song title. Then, last night, I was singing away to meself, as you do (don't worry, I was alone so there were no bleeding ears) and I was singing one of my fave Squeeze songs and a little lightbulb went ping! Labelled! Yesh! Labels are tags! Ta dah! Anyways... that is the theme and if you want to join in it is simples: the challenge is open to everyone, no matter where you live or what your level or style of crafting is. All you need to do is make something (this week a tag) and add in the theme (tags! doh!) and some stamping. Even if it is only just a teensy smidge of stamping that is ok - you don't need to be a "stamper" as such, just a stamped word/sentiment will work. (hope that answers a few FAQ's btw) Once you have made your piece, pop back here with a link to the place you are showing it... be it blog, photo-hosting-jobby, by email or even on Facebook, just let me know where to look and I and other peeps who enter the challenge can come and visit you. The theme remains open until 21:00 Saturday 8th December 2012.
So. Where are my photo's!!!??? Well, the "smidge behind schedule" I mentioned earlier; basically, indulge me do please, I usually have my entry made by Saturday and schedule the post etc so Saturday night is free for various appointments with Sir Brucie, Mr O'Leary and more recently, Lords Ant & Dec. And I fell foul of my own laziness this week... because I decided that I would combine yesterday's class sample and my entry together. And then I looked long and hard at said class sample and realised A) it wasn't how I wanted it to look and B) there was naff all on it to make it theme-able (my word for picking themes and song titles!) OH which reminds me... another FAQ is "why do you always have a song title for the Sunday Stamper?" Well, it is because 461 years ago when I started up my little challenge, the first couple of weeks were just a boring "Love" or "Words" and then I picked Oriental as a theme *shows how long ago it was.. Oriental was MAHOOOSIVE then!* and because I happened to be singing Turning Japanese by The Vapours, I thought "hey, I could use that as a title" So. I did! And then a few peeps were like "Argh, Hels, I have been humming that song all day" And so thinks I "aha... I shall do a song title each week so peeps are singing of a Sunday" And it stuck... and every week since has had a song title... believe me, I sometimes struggle and have used the same song title a few times... but for the main, each one is used only once... I know, such is my extensive musical knowledge. **ok, ok, Messrs Google and YouTube do assist..ahem... occasionally lol**
There, I went off at a tangent didn't I? What I was meaning to say is that I don't have a finished entry! Shock! Gasp! Now normally if said class sample ain't working, I will sit and make something of a Saturday evening... and I had kind of intended to do that last night after my appointments but I had the worst flipping pain in my back... ever! To the point that it made me feel not hungry and I didn't eat all my dinner... and when I tell you it was a chinese take-away dinner you might get how bad I was = takes very lots to put me off me grub! My lovely Grim had to help me out of bed this morning and he has given the old war wound a massage which has loosened up the shoulders and made the thoracic a bit more bearable... the lumbar is still twanging away but, better than last night! Phew! I thought I was going to be an old crock today...actually, it is still bad but not quite as bad... if that makes sense. Well, it isn't too bad enough to stop me signing off now and going and making my tag... I have my design, I sketched that out in the middle of the night when I couldn't sleep (of course I was awake, I couldn't possibly draw stuff in my sleep lol) Right, I shall away... I will be back soon with photo's of my finished tag... in the meantime.... TTFN!

Ouch - that sounds nasty - I do hope you are improving as the day goes on. Take care.
Hi Hels,
Wishing you well and feeling more comfy. X
You poor thing ! Xx trace x
Gentle hugs coming to you. I know how you feel cos my coxy, bottom of spine thingy, is flared. Not been able to create for days. That is so rare for me Hels cos stamping and crafting is the thing that takes my mind off the pain. Amazingly I've a tag I recently made and it has stamping and a cute oriental digi image. I made so many oriental creations that these days it's rare for me to make one. I'll photograph it when able and load it up, hope you feel much better soon hun xx
Hope the back is better soon Hels, hugs, Anne x
