..Hurrah and thrice indeedily! I am still buzzing after the Melt Art shows yesterday... WOW, you all are amazing with all the support that you gave me... thank you all... I so appreciate every single message, email, Tweet, comment... Indulge me do please; it means everything to me that you all like the demo's and samples that I make. I do still have to pinch myself that I am fortunate enough to be able to share my enthusiasm and passion in this way... I am truly a lucky gal. I wouldn't have said that a few years ago mind, in those dark days when everything was ever so slightly bleak, when it felt like I had had my future taken away from me. For followers and readers new to my blog, you probably won't know that I am actually a Train Driver by profession. A rather nasty collision with a 42 tonne truck (not my fault btw) put paid to that, leaving me with this degenerative injury... and after I had been medically retired, I really couldn't see a way forward. I have always been a career girl and was a wee bit lost, floudering about wondering what to do next. Without the support of Grim and my best friends (you know who you are) I would never have had the courage to find a new dream to follow. Anyways, I guess what I am trying to say is that I am ever so humbled by your support, like I said, I treasure every single comment... Which brings me to the giveaway bit:
So... there was a problem with the email system yesterday which meant that there wasn't a cup of chance winner on the 6pm show, so, I thought I would do a little giveaway here instead. Remember the hairclip that I wore? Well, that was to be the giveaway and ... it wasn't given away! Then I figured that I would add a little something to the hairclip giveaway as a thank you to you all for your support, so I am also giving away this Studio 490 Art Part piece that I made for the show. To be in with a chance of winning the clip and Art Part piece just leave me a comment here... simples as that. I shall use Mr Random.org to pick a winner on Saturday 15th December.
The Art Part Circle is one of my fave samples from the shows... I loves Studio 490, as you know and I loves my Melt Pot... add the two together and I am uber happy! There is a Faux Porcelain embellishment on there... if you missed the shows or haven't seen yesterdays post, CLICK HERE for a tut!
Right, I shall away... I have got my Tim Holtz Crafting shows tomorrow... 8am and 6pm on Create & Craft = all the channel deets are over there *points left* on my sidebar. I am busy prepping samples and demo's in readiness so I really should stop waffling and get inky! As ever, thanks for looking... have a good day! TTFN

Morning Hels, loved every minute of your shows y/day and i learnt alot of hints and tips so thank you very much, your inspiration is really appreciated. Crafting saved my sanity after i had to give up work due to disabilitating condition as well. I never thought at the time that i would go on to be an artist and selling my work. Emma
Oh gosh didnt realise that Hels, hope your back doesn't give you too much trouble. At least you discovered your amazing talent for crafting and we get to share it with you. Lol hubby has just finished his training to be a train driver, been on his own for 3 months now and loving it but I have to admit he does come home with some sad tales. Saw the later show and really enjoyed your projects with the melt pot. xx
Morning (nearly afternoon). I really enjoyed the show on C&C yesterday. So very nearly gave in and bought a Melt Pot, but was sensible and put it on my wish list, for purchase next year when I have some spare cash. There are so many of us that have become crafters due to health. It keeps me almost sane and my credit card upto its limit!! Ali x
Hi Hels. Was so sad to have missed your shows yesterday but I'm staying put tomorrow so i can see the Tim Holts thingies.
Starting crafting took the edge off some very dark days for me so I can fully understand.
Looking forward to tomorrow. Good luck with the draw everyone.

Enjoyed yesterday's show so much, my melt pot was in a box but it is now next to my desk. Loved the mixed colours. I am so glad my friend introduced me to crafting before I had to retire from work due to my illness. xx Flora
Dear Hels,
I didn't know about your horrific past. So glad you had lots of support to help you thru. Admiring your work, I just assumed you where, and are, a professional artist!

Oh poo I missed your melt pot show - I did see it on the TV listings and thought it might be someone like you but then promptly forgot to set the recorder as I was in Leicester yesterday with my daughter for a Uni interview (fingers crossed for her now).

Hels, fab shows yesterday. I don't do messy but really enjoyed seeing what you created. I was watching you as my hubby was eating his tea and I have been banned from having a Melt Pot as I couldn't be trusted with one!!! I might have to change his mind. I saw one in Stamp Addicts today but I didn't buy. Hope you have a lovely Christmas. Kym xxx

Hi Hels got to see one of the shows yesterday and drooled all the way through, the flowers are gorgeous! I was in my little car on the M60 when a 42 tonner hit me, sent me in to the bridge above the railway line, then he drove off!!! Lucky for me the police caught up with him. That was my two minutes of fame as it made the BBC news lol. Elizabeth xxx
Hi Hels, so many crafters have evolved through illness, it is quite amazing isn't it? It is heartening when someone like you can you your talent so productively, it is amazing seeing you on the TV, yesterday's shows were wonderful and you had more time to demo than normal which was fantastic. It is always a treat when you are on. Crafting saved my sanity too when I retired due to ill health and it has been the best thing ever in my life next to DH and family. Hugs, Anne x
Wonderful shows yesterday Hels. You are a vision of all things crafty and are such an inspiration to all of us, me in particular. Hope to see you in Scotland next year. Hugs Rita xx
You are an inspiration taking such a new direction when things were so bad, and making such a huge success. You also help and inspire all of us so much - thank you. I would love to win the draw ! good luck everyone xxx
Great news that you are on the box again tomorrow and with Tim items - not to be missed. I say there is always a silverlining (often not easy to spot though!!) and the train passengers' loss is the crafting world's gain - just love what you make, always an inspiration.
I wish I could see your shows, but I live on the other side of the world, so no chance!!
I follow your blog with great interest though, I love what you do. Thanks for the chance to win

Thanks for some truly amazing inspiration. Lots of Love CraftyLizzy.xxx
Evening Hels, it's amazing how crafting gets a lot of us through some dark times, crafting really helped me when my husband was hospitalised for several months and really helped when we were looking after my Mum as helping me with my cards gave her something to focus on..great shows yesterday Hels, hope they keep em coming, CaroleZ X
Hi Hels, loved the shows yesterday they were brilliant! i've already lifted out my melt pot to have a go at the flowers. Looking forward to tomoorw's show now. Lisa x
Loved your shows yesterday and I see I have to be up early tomorrow! I started crafting 4 years ago when my Mum died and intended just scrap booking her life - then I met Leonie and Joanne....... Love, Chrisxx
I caught up on your shows on the app yesterday night when I got back from work and was glad I'd had the foresight to buy some bits in advance. Im looking forward to playing with the meltpot, probably mostly to make flowers to start with. Have managed to wangle working at home tomorrow so I can watch the Tim Holz shows live, and Im looking forward to them.
I have a bad back too. Luckily mostly Ok now, but I cant stand for more than about 2 hours. Thankfully this coincides with the limit of my concentration on shopping or whatever, and is a great excuse for a coffee and cake.
Thanks for all the inspiration you give us!
Beautiful art parts! Love your uteed flower! & that hair pin is so lovely. You have such a fabulous way with paper and ink!
What a lovely giveaway

Hi Hels, thanks for a cool giveaway. Hoping you have a great day. Cheers :)
Gorgeous pieces. please count me in for the giveaway. I haven't had a chance to watch all the demos yet (I have to keep going to work, it's a real nuisance...) but I have to say Hels you are a real natural on the telly box!!! Keep up the good work. I think you've definitely found a replacement career. Cindy x
Oh NOOO, I missed the show Hels, and am desperate to know what to do with my very sadly neglected melt pot ... But can watch tomorrow (yippee). Jazz and gang send loads of purrs to AlfieCat; they have put their paws down over Christmas and told me to stuff the turkey (literally) because they NEED tuna with all the trimmings, so it's got to be done ... Sarah x
PS Please may I have the instructions for the workshop I missed??
Looking forward to tomorrows shows Hels,,,,hope you're feeling a bit better, and I can't wait to see all your lovely samples :D

Hi Hels. Two melt pots on one table - that must be extreeeem crafting! I'd do myself serious damage with one, let along two and on TV too, such a pro. I've put the pot & project book on my Crimbo list (with underlines & exclamation marks!). Loved the T.H.shows today too. I'm running a card making & papercraft workshop tomorrow, eleven lovely ladies, distress inks, mulled wine & minced pies; heaven. Only just finished prepping. Next big jobs:update my shamefully neglected blog and add all my project pics to FB.....oh and there's Christmas too! Have a lovely weekend, hope you are ok. Suz xxx
