Time to Be You...

..cor blimey and thrice! I was so inspired by the colours of Mother Nature that I got all unnecessary and made a tag using the colours in the Distress range that match what I can see out of the window in the Room of Stash (and no, not murky dirty streaks on the window... as if I would have those... ahem!)   Anyways... wafflings aside, tis my day for The Stamp Attic DT and all the deets on how I made my project for this week are HERE on The Stamp Attic blog.

I had a bit of a scare yesterday morning you know.  So, the parking here in Wellingborough is free... everywhere is free (thank you Mr Council Bod, makes a nice change!)  Anyways, it would be just plain wrong of me to moan about certain parking facilities wouldn't it?  So, I shalln't moan, oh no, not a moan... more of an.. erm.. observation.  Wellingborough is only a diddy little town and there's not much in the way of high street about it but it does have its very own shopping centre, The Swansgate.  And, attached to said shopping centre (ok, it is an under-cover mall like thing with about 30 shops max, but it is ours and we love it lol)  is a car park, one of those multi-storey affairs, you know the type, you go up a load of ramps in a spiral to get to each level.  Well, it has been noticed by moi (especially me, my parking ain't my finest talent) that the kerbs are rather high on these rampy bits... and being as Ferdy has a turning circle of a Sherman Tank (actually, scrap that, he has a turning circle of a dead Sherman Tank) I am continually bumping over the high kerbs and once even scuffed an alloy *yes, Grim had to be in the car for that event.... he did have the good grace not to laugh though*  Well, yesterday morning was a right old mucky day... roads wet, foggy... basically a typical Autumnal English day.  What I didn't figure when I tentatively drove up the first ramp in the multi-storey was the ASF (what ever the chuff that might be) light to come a-flashing on and for the front end of Ferdy to literally slide away from the direction I was steering.  Thank the Lordy above that I do pride myself on common sense and managed to get out of the slide.  Only for it to happen again at the very next ramp.  Thank the Lordy above and thrice... there was a space on Level 1, phew!  Turns out that the inside of the multi-storey floor has been painted with what I can only describe as greasepaint... add to that the water from the mucky wet cars and whatcha get?  Yep, skating rink.  I very nearly made a buffoon of myself (what again? so soon after the last time?) when I stepped out of Ferdy and my leg went a-sliding away... did you know that 42 year old women who are ever so slightly unfit (ok, VERY unfit) are more than capable of doing the splits? Well, of course, that could only be when hanging on, very unglamourously to a car door.  Upon that bombshell I shall love ya and leaves ya... I have a few sore muscles that didn't realise they were muscles until then that need soaking in a hot bath.  Thanks for looking... TTFN!

Hi Hels. Oh you made me laugh this very early time here in Spain. I can just see you doing the splits. Seriously it must have been a shock and thank goodness you had your wits about you and it didn't end in a disaster.

Up early this morning as it's Zumba and I have to take doggie for a walk before I go as she sulks otherwise.

Just time to nip over to the mentioned blog.

Have a good day.

Loving this tag Hels (been to see the lowdown already) you are a master of Studio 490 + inks.
Although you made me chuckle with your exploits I can bet it was a bit scary at the time. Multi storeys are notoriously tight for space at the best of times and slippy paint doesn't help much! Hope the bath helped. Hugs, Buttons x

Looks like you were battling with 2 of my pet hates - multi storey car parks and slippery conditions underfoot!

Morning Hels, I love this project so much, I have nearly all the ingredients to try this myself. I love the colours, so warm and enveloping, like a 'big hug'. The flowers and butterflies are stupendous and the stamping is gorgeous. I love the finishing touches of embellies and ribbon.
Superb tag, Hels.

Oh you poor thing yesterday, with your mishap in the multi-storey, I would have been scared to death, I hope you got a good hot bath to relax those muscles, bet you are achy today.

Lots of love from Patricia xx

And who would have thought your trip to the local shopping centre would result in such adventures for you and such a terrific blogpost to share with the world?
Hope you are OK, now?
Was your next stop the local council to have a loud and public moan - with of course, a Doctors certificate in hand?

Oh Hels, your tag looks really lovely and you are one talented lady, but I tell you what, you definitely could be a novelist and a great one at that. You tell such a flipping good story. This morning you really had me laughing out loud!!! Have to say, I positively HATE multy stories and have run up several parking tickets (here in E'burgh there is no such thing as free parking) just to avoid them....

Fabulous tag! Love those colours. Have been over to look but couldn't comment - blogger only seems to be letting me comment on certain blogs today (just to annoy me I think!) What a nightmare drive! I bet you were not the only one who nearly came a cropper! I hope you have stopped aching now xx

Sounds horrendous to me. How very generous of Grim not to shriek in alarm. My dearest would have gone bananas!! The car is the love of his life.
The tag looks gorgeous and I'm off to look at it. Sorry to be on catch up but I do at least get here!!!
