Gremlins...

...nasty little fellas those Gremlins are!   So, firstly, hoooge thank-you's to you all for all your lovely messages, emails, texts, Tweets about yesterdays show.   And a quicky explanation why you saw the 11am show repeated at 7pm.  Basically, Gremlins got into the works and that meant that we couldn't go live.  Simple as that really.  These things happen - live telly and all that :O))  I know from your messages that you were disappointed, I was too cos I reallllly wanted to show you my demo's.  So.  I figured that if I couldn't show you on the tellybox, I could show you on here.  Because I didn't get home til 9pm and because I am, to put it quite bluntly, a lazy old moobag, I won't do that today.  I need to get all the step by step's photo'd - and those of you who read this blog regularly will know that David Bailey I am not... takes me a yonk and a half to get the pics right lol   With that in mind, I thought if I told you about it today, you could pop back tomorrow to see it all.  My plan is that I will take my step by step's, do all the blurby bits, give you a product list... and then because I would have normally given away the demo piece on the show, I will do a giveaway here instead.  Here's how it will work:

I will post tomorrow with all the step by step pics and instructions... and then if you would like to be in with a chance to win the piece, just leave a comment... as simples as that (bit like moi)  It will be a "one day only" giveaway.  I normally do a weeks worth of comments for a giveaway *shhh, don't tell anyone but... I will do another giveaway in a few days time....* but if I did that this time we would be waiting for aaaages.  So, one day only.  Winner chosen at random (using Random.org) and announced on Saturday's post.  Whatcha finks?

The pics here are of a finished sample I had photographed the other day.  I used the new Heart, Love & Stars Art Parts pack and covered both hearts with papers from the Lost & Found Stack.  I used Cosmic Glue to stick them down, I say it loooads of times... but really... tis the best all round glue!  I inked the LOVE in Fired Brick and then sanded all the edges of all the pieces.  Blending a smidge of Walnut Stain around all the edges then made it all gel together nicely.  The decorations are my fave bit.  Starting with the ickle resin heart.  This is an Embellish Your Art piece, like all the Blossom Bucket pieces, they are so finely detailed.  This little fella looks like he is carved from wood.  I just added a smidge of Walnut Stain (am liking those smidges today peeps lol) and heat set it.  The fancy metal thing at the bottom is... a Metal Corner! I know, how cute is that?  Creative Expressions pulled everything out of the bag when they had these made... they are sturdy enough to use flat.. and pliable enough to bend them.  LOVE these... lots... lots... and more lots!   Oh and the ickle key is also a Creative Expressions charm.. gotta love these too!    There's a whole lotta loving going on here today isn't there?

Right, I shall loves ya and leaves ya.  Today I am going to be prepping kits for my workshops at this weekends East Midlands Big Stamping & Scrapbooking Show.  My classes still have a few places left (as far as I am aware) and there are four of them... two of each.  The first class "Thinking Inking 1" is all about Distress and Tim Holtz goodies.  The second class "Thinking Inking 2" is all about the wonder that is Studio 490, with lots of Distress thrown in for goodly measures!   In between classes I will be demo-ing on the Creative Expressions stand... and will be demo-ing some more .. erm... demo's (yep, that figures lol) from yesterday's shows.  If you are coming, please do pop and see me and say hi!  Thanks for looking... and again for all your lovely comments/messages, make me smile VERY biggly!  TTFN

Hi Hels, What a shame about your 7pm show, so disappointing. I absolutely loved all the samples shown on the 11am show, just gorgeous, I want everything. I'm hoping you have them on Saturday.
I had to chuckle when Nigel was talking about 'dirty piles' and you were saying 'too much information, Nigel', I was in stitches.
Looking forward to the tutorial tomorrow, I love the heart it is wonderful.
Lots of love from Patricia xx

It was a very deja vu moment, one minute Nigel was talking about smelling someone's espadrilles, then I went out shopping, cooked the dinner put the tv back on, and smelling espadrilles again Nigel, really!

I so enjoyed the show in the morning Hels and it's a shame the second one didn't happen especially as it's such a fabulous project. That pack of Art Parts was top of my list. Look forward to the tutorial tomorrow.

That's one heck of a lot of prep you have to do. Good luck!
