..aha, this would have been blogged earlier but... ahem... I have been in the wars again. More of that in a mo (am sure that you will be leaking sympathy by the time you have read about it... either that or tears of laughter) So... that flower again... I love this flower... I told you that already I know but... still, I thought I would mention it again. The flower is the 6 petal one from the new Accents for Art Studio 490 set... I LOVE this stamp cos it makes beautiful Grungy roses. This one here has been coloured with Wild Honey and Rusty Hinge Distress Ink. The tag background was colouring with Scattered Straw and Wild Honey Stains... then overstamped with one of my fave background stamps (another 490) and Pale Ochre Archival Ink. Love the wallpaper look of this.... it reminds me of old fashioned wallpaper.
Anyways, I know you are all a-gog to know what injury has befallen me this time. Well, I hold my hands up (as high as they will go, which is not very far) and admit that despite a harsh warning from Grim, this is all my very own fault. So. Grim is faffing in the garage and I decide to go and have a nosey at what he is up to. And whilst out there, I spy a skateboard. And my inner show-off decides to put in an appearance. I pick up said (offending) skateboard and decide to have a ... ahem... little go. Grim said "be careful, you will fall off and hurt yourself" To which I boasted "I used to be a whizz on a skateboard" (mmm, yes, maybe in 1978) Having not been on a skateboard for several decades, I decided to take it easy to start off with... you know, pushing it with one foot and pretending that I could hop the other foot on. Don't laugh.... I can hear you... don't!!
Well, that wasn't working so I decided on just standing on it, with both feet, you know, like on a surf board... at which point, I do admit to humming the Hawaii 5 O theme tune. Next thing, I was catapulted onto the driveway... not through the air, oh no, the skateboard isn't a normal skateboard... no, no, no... it is the bucking bronko of the skateboard world, depositing me at about 73mph onto the very hard and very ahem... un-bouncy concrete. Thank the Lordy above, Grim had his back to me so didn't actually witness this, no, he just heard the thud (and no doubt, felt the ground shudder as I landed) I was left with two options. Leap up and say "I am ok, I am ok, just a scratch"... or play dead. I so wanted to do the latter but my inner self respect told me that I had to pretend I had planned to do it. Needless to say, I am now sporting grazes and bruises and I have a smidge of muck in my hair (what a lovely imagine eh?) My poor old back is complaining and twinging (I am SO not going near those stilts that I have spied in the rafters lol) Anyways, I am off to lay down in a darkened room and surrender to a fit of the vapours..... Thanks for looking... TTFN!

Oh No Hels! I know it is your own fault, as Grim says but I still have lots of sympathy for you.....take a long warm bath before you go to bed. I have to admit that I did have a sneaky little giggle at the thought of the earth moving for Grim......lovely tag, I don't think I will ever tire of that flower. Anne x
The earth moved you say! I'll have some of that!!! ROFL :)
Seriously...I hope you are not too badly damaged. Sometimes it is difficult to believe that the age in our heads does not match what our bodies can do anymore!!! LOL
xoxo Sioux
lol watch out for the spacehopppers, great tag! Elizabeth x
Omg! Something i do all the time! Aren't they just too much temptation! I did it a couple of years ago when I found my old roller boots! You can be lethal on four wheels but imagine the damage on eight, our local park has just installed a zip wire........now forget broken bones just think tena ladies! ! Sending some healing hugs!

Oh Hels what are you like must admit to a little giggle but oh the pain of it Hugs xxxxx
Tag is gorgeous :0)
Oh dear! My ex did soething very similar many moons ago; he was "minding" a skateboard for one of the kids who attended the youth club we ran and decided to have a go. He puttered about for a bit then said "I think I've got the hang of it now!" at which point the board shot forward and he went backwards to land with a heckuva thump! Yes I did laugh, and he never quite forgave me...hmm, wonder why he's my ex?
Sorry, couldn't help having a chuckle at your post and the comments above:) - where are those tena ladies!!
If you fancy reminising in future may I suggest sticking to deeliboppers and a hula hoop (when the back allows)!! LOL
Meantime, love the flower colours and NEED that background stamp.
Hoping you are now on the mend, hugs, Buttons x
What are you like? Always a disaster waiting to happen around you. Take it easy. Don't want to see you on telly on crutches!! Lovin' that stamp - I'm sure I need it. May just drop into my next order! Hugs, Julia xxx
I have to say thanks for the giggle my back has been so painful just lately I have been feeling very sorry for myself so Thanks again for the giggle, I really hope you didn't do too much damage though. Really love the tag as usual gorgeous colours. Take care

Oh dear poor you, hope you are feeling better soon, but thanks for the funny post as it did make me giggle and I have had a rubbish day!! You made me smile thanks, yes maybe give the stilts a skip for now!!! And maybe all small things with wheels are not to be trusted! Hugs trace x
I can see why this is your favourite flower stamp because it really does make gorgeous roses and the colours of today's tag are brilliant. Sorry I must admit I smiled at your mishap with the skateboard (or at least how it was described in your words) - seriously though I do hope you don't suffer too much from the tumble. Take care and keep making roses - much safer I'd say.
I am definitely not laughing, as this is exactly something i would do!!
:-)
Lovely tag!
Oh Hels dear, what a Story! If I had fallen Off I wouldn't be able to get up without a crane no matter what I Wanted to pretend! Love your beautiful Tag too. You Take care, Lots of chocolate and Wine, Good for bruises! Hugs, b xxx
What are you like? Hope that a bath and lie down eased the aches and pains. I so agree with artyjen it's so hard to believe that body and head is same age x
I am NOT laughing... I am NOT laughing... Ok I am... hope your back is surviving the "impact" alright. Take it easy hon... and keep buying those lottery tickets! If (no... WHEN) you win, I want you able to travel! Walk AWAY from the skateboard! (you know I'm just teasing... hope you're OK) Hugs. Els xxx
Hels, you poor thing! I hope you're not too sore & bruised now. Your tag is of course, gorgeous.
Oh Hels poor you. It's just what I would do too, but you must be aching all over. Your tag is fabulous. The roses are gorgeous. Hope you sleep well and the aches and bruising don't get any worse. Crafty hugs....Annie x
Ok, so I did have a teeny little chuckle but I sure hope you are OK! The tag is gorgeous!
You have the full sympathy of a person who recently misjudged the end of her bed after a couple of glasses of vino on an empty stomach. You would think at my age I would know where the end of the bed was! Anyway it only took me two week to get over that-hope you mend quicker! On the positive side, your tag is fabulous. Your flowers are amazing. Sx
OMG - this is just the sort of daft thing I regularly do - thank you for making me giggle tonight very gentle hugs coming your way Karen x
OH NO!!! I hope you are feeling better! I didn't giggle, but I admit, I did crack a bit of a smile!
I used to do things like that...but now my body aches enough without the help...so I try to abstain from my wild urges.
At least you are still able to get inky!!!
