WOYWW.... A Whole Lotta...

...nothing much!! Hahaaaa, again, it is Wednesday and yep, I remembered it was Wednesday which means that I can take part in the phenomenononywotsit that is.... What's on Your Workdesk Wednesday (....mmm, wonders how many times I can throw "Wednesday" into the first paragraph!) So... this WOYWW (as the acronym is easier than keeping on typing What's on Your Workdesk Wednesday, although I just did again so....) Where was I? Ah yes, Wednesday's are the day for WOYWW. Now, if you haven't stumbled across this amazing weekly event, you can CLICK HERE and be whizzed off on the back of a humungous raindrop to see Julia, who is the creator of What's on Your Workdesk Wednesday, and see how to join in, what to do etc... and as you wend your way around the blogs in the mahoosive hop, you can pick up hints and tips on how to make your room reaaaaally messy (oooh, who do I mean Helen?) or you can see how a neat freak like me works (ok, ok, those of you who have borne witness to the perils of the Room of Stash will know full well that this prolonged smugness from yours truly is bound to come to a halt sooner or later, I mean, hello? Me? Tidy? I don't think it is going to last!!) Right... enough waffling... that there is a piccie of my desk... and I have to say, a little update after the mammoth 2 day clearing out fest that was the event in the Room of Stash for January... my desks are still *relatively* tidy... as is the floor (i even hoovered the other day!) and I am loving having both desks right next to each other because I can spread out... well, not me personally, my stash can be spread out and I don't need to chuck stuff on the floor anymore... *ah, am polishing my halo* So, this week on my desk is... some Tulle! Oh yesh, I have finally sourced some cheap Tulle (thank you Mr eBay) which I fully intend to faff with later. Also is a WIP - an ATC with a cute little holder that is a Cut & Create template from March Craft Stamper... that is going to be finished today btw... no more procrastinations... I am going to sit and get it done...

Before I nip off to get inky, I will just point in the direction of the sidebar where there's a link to my latest giveaway... which is a tag... and if you click HERE you can be whizzed off on the back of a ... oh, hang on, I done that already... ok, if you clicked there, you will already be on the right post to leave a comment on... And that there piccie is the tag :O))

Before I nip off to get inky... ok, so there's a lot of repitition in this post today .. blame it on the sun! We had a smashing day at Brands Hatch on Sunday, watching Jason Plato storm to victory in his new MG (corrrrrr) but, it was ever so sunny... and guess who forgot to put any sun cream in her bag? And guess who is now sporting something that she usually takes great pains to avoid? Oh yes, I have... a freckle moustache. I am a freckly person... always have been, in fact a childhood nickname was freckleface... and I have freckles on my top lip... which, if left unattended in the sunshine, gang up together and turn themselves into a moustache... which is what I have now... Hercule Poirrot has got nothing on me I can tell ya.... with that delightful image, I shall bid you adieu and say... as ever... thanks for looking!! TTFN

Glad you enjoyed the touring cars on Sunday Hels. Just as well this snow hadn't hit, though Jason and one or two others could have used that as an excuse for playing bumper cars!!

Hubbie was glued to it - in a house full of motor-mad men we usually have touring cars, F1 or Top Gear on the box. Wonder why we have a second telly?!

Currently beavering away creating 'the blog', marking work, preping for next term, making cake... a woman's work is never done! However (she says proudly) my challenge piece is done and should be the first proper post by the weekend. Crossing fingers, though that doesn't help much with the typing.

Hope you enjoy playing with the tulle and looking forward to seeing the results.
Hugs, Buttons x

You will just have to try and get more freckles so that they can all join up and you have a lovely tan! LOL
That's what I always hope for anyway!

Well, apart from lots of lovliness I spy a dish of sweeties. Chuck us one please. I saw that JP won on Sunday. He's almost unbeatable. Wish I could have a go. Did I tell you I got held up by a Ferrari once then again by a Maseratti... it's true, honestly, in my CUB too.

Great work area Hels (I mean freckleface!), it always looks so tidy in spite of the amount of stuff you produce.....intrigued to know what you are going to do with that tulle. Not doing WOYWW as Central heating is bust and it is too cold to sit here for too long.

Hmmm I hope I'm not the Helen you are telling all and sundry I can teach messy to.... ha ha. As if...
I saw the result of the race and thought of you. Wish I hadn't now! Your desks look great though, long may you keep them clean and neat - in between inky! Helen,18

Very interesting; I've learned another Brit expression. Can't wait to see what it means to "faff the tulle!"

It is your freckles that have chased away the sun, and brought the snow today. What a difference. I did enjoy reading your post today, it gave me a real giggle. thank you for popping in today and your good wishes for Flash. Have a good Easter. xx Maggie #9

Hi Hels, Nice to pop by your desk, had a good nose round and did I spot a backgammon board? Ahh - takes me back to my youth playing backgammon, never seem to find anyone who plays it now.

As for the tulle, is that what it is really called here in the UK? I have always called it netting, remember the layers in my ballet tutu - oh dear more reminiscing.

I used to have an MG back in the day! What fun racing around with the top down.... .... the car top that is...except for the one day I had to take my own off in a hurry when a bee fell into the front of my shirt.....acckk!!

Princess Judy Palmer said...

"Some tulle" indeed! I laughed at the PILE of tulle. I truly expected a little bit not enough for a whole tu-tu.. Not sure why but.... there ya be. I think you have a reason to be smug as your room is still looking quite nice and it feels good to have everything in its place and not random piles everywhere (I KNOW this, don't practice it so much though). And umm.... great tag! Yeah, that's it.

Blimey, are you taking up ballet....not good for your back love!!! No I get it, and no doubt what you do will make me want to take u p ballet too! I don't believe you about the moustache...bet yo ur freckles are just pretty...funny how we do not want what we're blessed with!

Tracy said...

OMGosh.... I'm not sure what hooked me first, repeat of Wednesday or nip then the freckle mustache!

I also freckle easily although I can't lay claim to a mustache from them. I have maintained that instead of a nice tan, I get the "freckle tan" where they multiply in great numbers into splotchy dirt looking blobs. No golden sun kissed tan for me. I look like I missed a few spots in the shower.

Happy WOYWW & Easter! Warmly, Tracy #28

From one Freckleface to another Freckleface - Howdy! Is that why Freckles is called Freckles?
Tidy desks seem to be the order of this week.
As for Tim's class it is great but you already know that. I just love the lickle tips he gives which I love!
Bet you wanted Ferdy to go round the racetrack! LOL! xx
