...after weeks and weeks of being a bit skint on Mojo and bemoaning the fact every day.... "I can't find my Mojo" being the overused phrase of the month... to the point that anything I have made has been a struggle... do you find that? If something is going on in your life it zaps the Mojo. Whilst I could still craft, I wasn't "feeling" it. Hurrah and thrice indeedily, Mr Mojo poked his head out from the cabinet in which he has been hiding and me, being an opportunist, grabbed him by his scruff and got cracking on a project that has been lounging about on my desk for the past couple of weeks.
Every month in Craft Stamper, which is the best stamping mag in the world (said in my very best Jeremy Clarkson voice) there's a Cut & Create template towards the back of the mag. CLICK HERE for all the deets on previous ones. I have had the pleasure of making something for the mag with one of the templates a few months ago. Well, as soon as I saw the one in April's issue I got all excited! It is an ATC envelope. I love anything that becomes a "holder" for a piece of artwork... like my T'Pouches and Tag-Velopes, it gets the creative juices flowing because it means that I can add more stuff to the project. CLICK HERE for this template and check out Kate Crane's gorgeous artwork in the mag too!
The Cut & Create templates are an absolute doddle to use too! Now, I make no secret of being computer illiterate, a veritable dinosaur in this teckernologikal age...but I can hand on heart say that these templates are easy to download and ever easier to print out...I even managed to print it out without going "Grriiiiiiim.... I need help" Haha... my tech guy is always on hand to dispense advice bless him.... So, armed with a printed out onto card template, I cut it out and then used that as a template to draw around onto some Destinations papers to make the holder pouch. I cut a piece of cream card and then got playing with lots of Grunge and Tim stamps and Alterations and turned the pouchy ATC into something Steampunkery. I even decorated the back of the ATC (not that it is 'owt special, I just wanted to use my new stamps that I got yesterday from Jennie @ The Artistic Stamper...they are the Remnants set from the new Tim collection and I lurve that hot air balloon.... got plans for that I have!)
Anyways... enough rambling and inane wafflings from me for one day. I have decided that today is also going to be a crafty day, I plan to get my Studio 490 stashly goodies out and have a good old play and see what I can come up with.
My little AlfieCat is keeping me company too, he is on his bed on top of the paperstack.. poor little fella had a dicky tum-tums yesterday and was off his food and hiding out under the coffee table... he didn't even want his treats last night...This morning, however, he is a bit brighter (phew) and managed a bowl of tuna for his breakfast (yep, I spoils him!) I hate it when he gets sick because he can't talk and tell me what is wrong :O(( Right... better dash, as much as I could sit and chatter away here all day, that won't get my fingers inky so... thanks for looking... TTFN!

This is fab Hels! I thought that template would be useful too. I'm envious of your new stamps, lol!
Poor little Alfie, I hope he feels better today.
BTW love your project in May CS!

I know what you mean about the old mojo, mines been playing hide and seeks for weeks now, glad you managed to nab your and get some playtime in, your project is very cool x
Glad your mojo has returned, look forward to seeing your creations after your inky day. No crafting for me today :-( school shoe shopping for me, what is it with boys and growing seems like I'm buying shoes every month at the minute!!
Karen xx
Oh dear, I have moved on to May's CS mag and completely missed the template, although did look at Kate's amazing work. Love what you have done with the template and as I am totally addicted to hot air balloons I NEED that stamp! Glad to hear Mr Mojo has returned and that Alfie cat feels better today. We still have no central heating - hard to type and craft in the cold!
Phew - glad to read that your mojo has returned - I can't find mine - I know it's there but can't see it cos I've just had a eye op which has made my old eye shiny and new - which is brilliant cos I can see - beautiful colours - but my other eye is as blind as a bat in daylight, so for a few weeks more I can't really craft. Maybe I'll be able to do a pirate with a patch over one eye.
Hope Alfie is feeling a lot better and is soon purrring perfectly
Lovely to see you on top form
xx
Fabulous Hels - great to see Mrs mojo is back!!!
Cheers Hels, Isn't it brilliant when your mojo returns. Yours has certainly returned with all pistons working. What a Fab ATC and Envie. See, there is no end to your talent. I love what you've done in this months CS, its the best yet I think. Hugs Rita xx
Oh poor Alfie cat, sending a big hug. Glorious art work Hels!
Love this, Hels!! Have a great weekend. On a oountdown to Ally Pally for real now!!
Wow - who would think a simple ATC envelope could become something so scrumptious - just love it and might have to give it a whirl myself. I agree about CS mag - brilliant and all things Tim - need I say more. Have a good weekend.
Brilliant make ;) Happy Easter
xoxo Sioux
Sorry to hear about Alfie! Great work, as always!
I've just printed my copy out. Being a DT for an ATC/Card blog and enjoying a little challenge blog, this will come in very useful indeed. Hope Alfie stays better. I bet he's been eating something???? he maybe shouldn't. My first pusscat, Purdy, did rather a lot of that. Nail that cupboard door shut so Mr Mojo can't hide again and we can share the delights that are your amazing creations once more. Mwah.
Hugs Joanne xxx
Looking goos Hels - I likeee! Oh and I managed to get a place on the full day at Dawn's - so I'll see you there! Rachel xx
Wow, that's GORGEOUS!!!! I hope AlfieCat is feeling better.
So pleased that you had fun with your mojo! You've come up with a brilliant piece too! Hope Alfie cat gets better soon! Chrisx
Gorgeous project Hels - think I NEED those stamps (along with more Stains, Dabbers, Adirondak dye inks ... blah, blah, blah ... you get the idea!).
What a shame about AlfieCat - Jazz sends a friendly purr and is very jealous of him having tuna for breakfast. Ours only get it on a Friday evening!!!
Have a great Easter, Sarah x

Poor little Alfe, I'm sure his mummy's lurve, and the tuna will sort him right out. My two are currently having a wrestling match in the middle of the stairs! They never learn eh. I love your ATC envelope, you always have the best ideas Hels. Love reading your blog. Michelle x
