Production Line...

...oh yesh and thrice... I have had a veritable bonanza today in the Room of Stash (still not tidied btw) but have managed to make a total of 42 Christmas Cards.. that certainly has to be a record for me... forty two cards **looks ever so slightly pleased with self**... two designs, lots of stamping, inking, colouring in and matting... then sticking to a 6" square card... thank heavens for heat tools and ATG's... they have made my life a whole lot easier lol Here's a pic of all of them together... a nice big old pile of them....

And here's design 1 - my favest Santa stamp ever... I know, he is gorgeous isn't he! He is from an old Christmas set from the Duke of Distress... stamped with Jet Black Archival, painted with Tattered Rose (best skin tone) Fired Brick and Peeled Paint Distress Stains and a water brush. Edged with Vintage Photo, matted onto Bazzill and then the card was stamped with a cute little vintage holly stamp (another one of Tim's) using Olive Archival ink.

Design 2 features my other fave Santa - he who looks like David Bellamy - I think it is the nose, slightly busted and a big fluffy beard to go with it. He was stamped and inked in the same way... oh and the sentiment on both of the cards is a really old woodie that I have had for 391 years... stamped with Coffee Archival.

Anyways... I am feeling muuuuch happier now I have a few cards made... just another 20 to do and then I should be done. Don't tell him but... I need to make Grim's card yet... I usually try to make something really special for him... but last year I cheated and bought one... well, I read the words and they were perfect... I wish I had written them down because I could have used those again! Right... time to scootle off and get cracking on the Sunday Stamper for tomorrow... I have an idea what I am making... and of course, it is the Strictly final tonight so I will be glued to the telly... so the Sunday Stamper will probably be posted in the morning... about 8am I reckon :O)) Thanks for looking... have a fab Saturday evening... TTFN

I love your cards Hels but so many!!!
I only made 4 this year and it took me a full two days to make one for Mr B.
Still, all done done, cards posted, presents wrapped and tree up so I'm going to join you on the settee to watch Strictly (my addiction). Wonder who you are supporting, my heart is with Chelsee but my money (if I had any left after all the presents) would be on The Judd.

What a marathon - absolutely brilliant. I'll be coming back to this post next year to get me going on Christmas card making long before December

Gorgeous cards and well done you for doing so many in one day. I've spent the best part of the day writing up and addressing our cards, and I'm exhausted. I'm writing this in the Strictly half time and I still couldn't tell you who is going to win - all three couples are truly fabulous. I do however, like AnnB, have a soft spot for little Chelsee (think she was undermarked on her show dance but then what do I know) but Harry might just have the edge. We will all know pretty shortly - gotta go, can't miss a minute :) Elizabeth x

42???!!! Is it just a coincidence that this is also the answer to the Meaning of Life, the Universe and Everything?? :-)

I love cards like this, I so tend to over do my cards, then I hate them! Maybe that's why I don't really make them anymore! Great inspiration!

Your santa proj's are 'immortal dahling', santa 1 is my fave as he is v cute n squishy looking, I find santa 2 a bit sinister. I wanted Chelsee to win, but prob 'cos of mothering instinct.. am v. jealous that u have finished cards. i got into a loop yesterday making snowflake gift tags from spellbinders- unable to stop cutting for some reson. Then made some snowflake backing paper- but still no cards. xx
