Sunday Stamper - Week 180 - Trail of The Lonesome Pine

Goodly Morning Stampers and a very happy Sunday to you all. Many thanks for the lovely entries last week... and it was fabby to see some new faces joining in too. Before I go off waffling about this weeks challenge I will just answer a few Q's that I have had in recently. Firstly, the Sunday Stamper is just for fun... occasionally there will be a prize but not every week... Secondly, you don't have to have a blog to join in, you can join in by email if you like :O)) And finally, you don't have to go over the top with your entry... you can make anything you like! Right... on with this weeks challenge theme... which is... to use Pine Colours &/Or Pine Trees/Branches. I know, I know, it is a convoluted one but I have been saving this song title for a yonk and a half. To join in with the challenge is simples; just make a little something, include some rubber stamping and the theme... and then hop back here and leave me a link to the place you are showing you entry... or email me a piccie if you prefer. The challenge will remain open until 23:00 Saturday 19th November 2011.

My entry this week is another Christmas tag... I am really into making tags at the moment, they just seem to be the right size for all the Timmy products that I load onto them! The base of the tag was coloured with Old Paper, Iced Spruce and Evergreen Bough... and edged with Walnut Stain Distress Inks. I did some subtle stamping of a script using the Iced Spruce and then added some flourishes using Coffee Archival - not that you can really see them cos of the amount of stuff loaded onto the tag!

Then... I made a little banner for the word and edged this with more Walnut Stain and then added some "snow" using Tim's splatter stamp and Snowcap Dabber. I cut the pine tree, juniper leaves and some Tattered Florals from Grungeboard/Paper and coloured them with the new Seasonal Distress Inks ... isn't that red just gorrrrrgeous! I did edge it with Gathered Twigs so the ends of the petals are a bit darker... then all of them had a good dose of Picket Fence Distress Stickles. The finishing touches were adding some Idea-ology - check out that reindeer, isn't he just so cute!

Right then, I think that is it for one day... have a wonderful inky day peeps... I am fancying a roast lamb or chicken dinner... with loads of lovely crispy roasty spuds and lashings of grrrravy... what have you got planned for the day ahead? Have fun! Thanks for looking... .TTFN

Stunning as usual! So envious of those new TH inks...thinking I may have to break down and buy them now. That happened with another of your tags. I saw the new pine cone die and well...its in the mail. I love the snowy look to the background!!

You've really made a corker with this one. So many bits and bobs and, as you say, all fit perfectly. Wherever did the reindeer gallop in from? He's gorgeous.

Love your tag Hels. You've used the new DI colours to perfection. A fabulous way to put lots of lovely Christmassy bits together. Like Helen I've now got that song going round in my head, where it will probably stay all day.
