WOYWW..... Aha!!!

..cor blimey and thrice... who knew it was Wednesday... there's me, faffing away with ink all morning (more of that later) and I thought I would go for a little hoppy around Blogland... and I spots that loads of desks are on show... humph, it is time for What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday... how stoooopid am I?? don't feel the need to answer that one lol Anyways... a late entry for WOYWW... all the deets are HERE if you are wondering what I am on about!

So... after much beseeching and bemoaning... Mr Mojo has finally come home! I am an inky temptress *snort* and got him back into the Room of Stash and under my influence again... all it took was a Yankee Candle and a heap of Studio 490 goodies! I will remember that for the next time he waltzes off. Anyways... it is now 8 days til I depart these shores... not that I am excited or anythink... much! So... in preparation for my forthcoming trip, yesterday morning I decided that the old grey roots were showing a little too much. So armed with my usual brand of "grey remover", I set about the re-spray. Now, normally I get changed into a really old top, cover myself with a towel, cover all the surfaces nearby with paper towels and then adopt a very careful manner. What happened yesterday morning was the exact opposite. In my haste to get the work underway, I couldn't be bothered to get changed, nor could I be bothered with the towel. And... for the first time EVER, I was lifting up the dye bottle to do the badgery bits on my fringe (yes, I look like a badger... and of a morning I look like a badgers a**e) Anyways... there I am, squirting dye all over the shop, down my top, onto the desk, over my legs... "oopsie-daisies" says me... and then I let out an almighty shriek... because a strand of already dyed hair whipped itself across my left eyeball. I don't think I have ever moved so quickly... suffice to say, it hurt. Very lots. I washed out the offending dye and took the old contact lense out.. thank heavens for that because it would have been a whole lot worse. I think, in future, I shall prepare properly... either that or grow grey disgracefully. Right... am off to play with Mojo for a while... thanks for looking.... TTFN!

Hels it's my first visit here and it looks like a very creative space. Mind you, having seen some of the lovely things you make in magazines I'm not surprised. I'm h]glad you have your mojo back, I never thinks of famous and successful peeps like yourself losing your mojo, but it is nice to know we all suffer from it from time to time.

Good job you had contacts in, hope your eye is less sore soon.

love Mandy xxx

p.s. lovely to see a plant in your work area :)

Hurrah for mojo's being back :) and long may they stay. I always thought disgraceful was best, better than pirate patch (but only just arrrhhhh)I also believe that people should learn to love creases rather than expect me to iron so I may not be the best judge though ;)

Hysterical Hels , but I can't imagine you looking like a badgers a**e as you so delicately put it, must be before you put your contacts in!x
rejoicing in your re-mojo-fication.

The only thing worse to get under your contact lens is a chile smeared hand that you've forgotten to wash -aaaargh xx

I usually just whop on the old hair dye and sit in the bath and soak for half an hour, until the gloop works its magic!.. no worry about towels or messing up clothes... having said that I did drop a Black Memento Ink pad down a pair of white trousers the other day and have used practically every remedy I can think of to get out the stains, all to no avail!
Any ideas?
Hope your eye will be OK!

I am LMAO.....I can just picture this! My Grandfather who started off many many years ago as a barber then turned hairdresser had me and one of my sisters work for him...how lucky was I? The rest of my family (my two other sisters and 3 female cousins)didn't show any interest in working for him. DUH...free product!!!! I grew up in the hairdressing business and loved to work with my Grandfather. I started working for "Pap" (the name we gave to Grandpa because he smoked a pipe - so I was told)at the age of 13...I learned how to "do" hair! Now at the age of (grey hair) maturity....I know how to do my own and have become quite a master at the trade (if I do say so myself). FYI.....You NEVER EVER EVER do your hair with out preparing first. I learned that long ago. I have to ask everyone though.....why can men get a little grey in their hair and become distinguished and or handsome? As soon as a woman have grey, they are anything but. I don't even want to use the words associated with grey hair and women - it just ain't fair!!!! Happy to hear your Mojo has returned....enjoy!

Oooh did it dye your contact lens? I had a situation once where I managed to dye mine with worn lipstick distress ink and had to have a pink eye for about a week (an optician told me it was still safe to wear!) - oh those were the days.

Oh Helen, you’re the third person I’ve come across this week who’s getting rid of their Grey. I started going Grey at sixteen and used to colour it but now, 39 years on I have more Grey than anything else and I’ve given up and gone Grey gracefully.
Hope you're eye's ok.

Glad your Mojo has come home and agree with the help from a Yankee Candle. I have a Lavender Vanilla car freshener hanging beside me as I type!

Happy Crafting!

Oh dear ... not good, painful - did it do damage to your contact lens? I've tried the growing grey disgracefully ... several times actually ... doesn't work for me. On a grey day the vision in my looking glass is ... well, grey. I love my hairdresser - blonde is a good look :) Glad you've wooed your Mojo back. Elizabeth x #75

God Hels, if you hadn't been wearing a contact...ooh. Funny isn't it, I always put off the dyeing for ages because it's boring and takes time, but actually, it's only half an hour! I'm trying to 'embrace' my grey...currently. Ask me again in six months!

Another riotous post Hels! Although I'm in the slap it on and cover it up crew too unfortunately! My husband hates my greys so much that he actually applies the stuff for me, lol!!
