Frankie Says...

... quite a lot actually! Frankie... you know Frankie, the Queen of the Tags, who just so happens to make the most AMAZING taggy art, well, twas her 300th blog post... and she came up with a plan... a swap... but slightly different to swaps I have taken part in before... this one was extra special because it involved birdcages... namely the birdcage of the moment, the Tim Holtz Alterations one... and a definite partner to send the cage onto *btw, if you click HERE, you will be whisked off, on the back of a Chinese Dragon, to Frankie's blog. where you will see amazing eye candy... and.. listen to the most amazingly soothing music, I have it playin in the background at the moment!*

Now... my swap partner is Elizabeth... but... I also wanted to do a cage for Frankie, seeing as it was her idea and also because she inspires me... so it was a double thank you. The remit was fairly simples... make a Size 8 tag or 6x8" postcard, attach the cage to it and pop it off to our swap partners...mmm, simples you think? NOT! Mainly because... I am thick! Oh yes, thick as a badger that just failed all his O Levels... because... I didn't read the remit properly... and got all over excited and made my tags MAHOOSIVE... like the hooooogest tag possible. Many of you who are on Facebook will have seen yesterday that Lionel Laptop took matters into his own...erm... hands and banned me from the internet! Basically, I have been spending too much time on FB, playing Words with Friends and waffling on... so I reckon that is why I did the measurements wrong, I was distracted... ahm....... Thankfully, I redeemed myself because Frankie said it didn't matter that I am a dimwit and the tag would be just fine... phew! Panic over.

Anyways... I am ONE LUCKY person indeedily because... my tag from my partner arrived today... I won't show you it... but you will see it next week on Frankies blog when all the photo's will be on there... my partner is Frankie herself... and oh blimey and thrice... it is a seriously AMAZING affair... I shall keep schtum now... you will have to wait for the surprise :O)) My birdy cage is made from Grungeboard that I painted with gold Dabber and then sanded back to reveal the Grunge and then went over with Vintage Photo DI. The tag is coloured with Distress Stains and stamped and stitched... and decorated with Tissue Tape rosettes and a banner.

I have to say... I am well and truly overwhelmed by ALL of the amazing and kind comments I have had this week on the giveaway posts... I can tell you that I spent the whole of yesterday reading them and smiling... and smiling some more! It is totally awesome that so many of you lovely folks took time out to leave me such wonderful comments... I will even admit to having a bit of a "moment" ... soppy old moo that I am. Anyways... if you haven't seen what I have been up to this week, then please do check out the side bar where there are links to the four giveaways that I am doing. Oh and... just a heads up... I have been inundated with requests for the measurements for the T'Pouch... and a lot of peeps have asked for a "how to"... so, on Saturday, I will be doing one (if I can get the pics right ;o)) Right... time for me to get inky... I have been lazier than a badger that has lazyitis today... resting the old war wound and catching up on telly and stuff... now it is time for me to get inky and make my Bubbly Funk piece for tomorrow's DT.... I shall be back... tomorrow :O)) As ever... Thanks for looking... TTFN!

Cor, go to town why don't you. Wonderful tag work. I got the size right and then failed to add much..I think I went for the uncluttered look in the end!! *cough*. However, recipient says it's fine, and that'll do me!!

I never read things thoroughly either. Just the sort of mistake I would do. I think Elizabeth will be just as delighted with your tag as you are with hers. I love the way you have cut the birdcage open. I think I would need to do that too if I used the birdcage. I hate caged birds. Fantastic tag as always! Look forward to your pouch saturday!

My fave bit about your cages is that fact that you care about the bird inside and prise open the bars so it can come and go as it pleases. This tag is fabulous.
