Sunday Stamper - Week 163 - Build Me Up Buttercup

Goodly Morning Stampers and a very happy Sunday to you all! Many thanks for the amazing entries last week - again it was fab to see new peeps joining in too :O)) This week the theme for the challenge is... BUILD YOUR OWN FLOWER EMBELLISHMENT. So, like my entry, I have built two different flower embellies, the first being a metal and 490 stamp creation and the other is a little Idea-ology Foliage dangly. To join in with the challenge all you need to do is make a little something.. it can be anything you fancy... include the theme and some stamping... then leave me a comment here with a link to the place you are showing your entry and I can hop on over to see you. The challenge will remain open until 21:00 Saturday 23rd July 2011.

So... my entry this week is a tag (oooh for a change lol) I coloured the base of it with Distress Stains, namely Wild Honey, Fired Brick and Dusty Concord... then I spritzed them with water to make the Stains swoosh about. I stamped over the base of the tag with a large Studio 490 background stamp using Vermillion Archival ink and added a row of dots to the bottom of the tag.

The flowers were made from different colours of Ten Seconds Studios metal, which I popped onto black card and then used various Studio 490 flower stamps so I could build up my layers. I used TSS tools to edge and emboss into the metal and then aged them all with Pitch Black Dabber. I decided to make one of the flowers into a pinwheel, so I just twisted the petals around a paintbrush, adding in a little bit of variation.

So... there you go, a new challenge - apologies for the late posting... Mr Internet decided to be a meany last night! What have you got planned for today? I have planned a day of lounging on the sofa watching the World Touring Cars and then perhaps a little bit of inkiness this afternoon... well, there won't be much sunbathing going on if the weather here is anything like yours... akk, someone remind Mother Nature that it's Summer lol Right... enough of my waffling... Thanks for looking!! TTFN

Stunning! I love the eye-catching colours. I am so chicken to play with my TSS metal like this. However, your inspiration is working on my resolve to do so soon! Over here is my tag.

Too busy to think this week Hels.
Your tag is glorious, sunshine and summer.
My offering is something I played with a while ago. Playing has been a non-event this week.
